Lindsay Graham has violated his oaths as a senator and as an Air Force officer.  For the first time ever I will be happy to vote against him in the Republican Primary.  He was my House Representative before he became a senator.  Voted for him in the past because the opponents were far more extreme right wingers.  If he is outed, the GOP nominee will win in Nov., but they will not chair a Senate committee or have his seniority.

Well, that's good!

Saw an article the other day where the movie stars of the 30's and 40's and maybe 50's were the "billionaire class" of their day.  Many of them invested in various tax dodges to lower their movie star income taxes.  Gene Autry in oil, some in cattle ranches, etc.   So, our favorite people (for this forum) were tax scofflaws in their day.

More on how the Dem candidates are going to be portrayed as "socialists."  One of the reporters on this covered Warren in Greenville, S.C., probably the most Republican voting city in S.C.  Joke used to be that the Dem Party could hold its meeting in a restroom at a fast food restaurant.

What I found funny about this is the timing;  Did Sargent just figure this out?

I assume most people,  other then clueless all-for-Trump-supporters, saw this 'pattern' weeks after he was sworn in.

The educational performance in Graham's own S.C. is worse than Kentucky's.

As I have said before, Graham is really worried about his primary in 2020.  The extremist (Trump) wing is pretty much in control of GOP in S.C.  Trump endorsed GOP incumbent Mark Sanford's opponent in the 2018 GOP primary in Charleston, S.C. district.  The opponent won and the Democrat won the seat in Nov.  First time in decades.

If Graham is defeated in the GOP primary,  isn't it more likely that his GOP replacement will be more pro-all-things-Trump?    Of course maybe that means the Dem wins (which would be the best outcome IMO).

But if given the choice between Graham or someone even more pro-Trump, who would you want?

I commented on this somewhere on Off Topics.  Graham has gone off the deep end, so it doesn't matter as he will now support all-things-Trump.

There is practically zero chance of a Dem winning a Senate seat from S.C.  But, if Graham loses, the winner will not be chair of a Senate committee.  Graham chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee and has lots of influence due to seniority.  His successor would not.  That's why I will vote for anybody but Graham (holding my nose).

I guess you don't believe in "First time in decades" when it comes to a Senate seat.      (I got some hope when you pointed out that Dem win,  but that was a House seat,  so never mind!).

I fully expect that seat to go back to GOP in 2020, but who knows.  Sanford probably would have won it, but he **** Trump off.  The GOP nominee was also in an automobile accident before the election which reduced her campaigning time.  The district is Charleston County plus some others around it.  Only Charleston went for the Dem.  For many years, the thinking in S.C. is that there is S.C. and then there is Charleston - a whole 'nother state. When I was in college in the late '60's, you could not purchase liquor by the drink in S.C. except in actual private clubs.  Except Charleston.  As an 18 year old I walked into the bar at prestigious hotel and ordered a mixed drink.  No ID needed, no limit.

Agree with this decision or not, it should give pause to every rule of law-loving American that

the President himself is dictating who is allows to enter our country.

That’s a slippery slope, especially with a President known to exact vengeance against political enemies.

Donald Trump's face would be more properly placed on one of the Most Wanted posters at the post office, for the many crimes he's committed and is committing, before and during his presidency.

Courts hammer Trump for sabotaging Obamacare, in rulings that could cost the Treasury billions

".....Court rulings have flooded in over the last few weeks, and the experts are right. The cost to the government could be $12 billion a year, payable to health insurers who were cheated by Trump’s action. That’s not chump change. As Nicholas Bagley of the University of Michigan wrote this week, “Insurers could buy us a damn border wall every year with that money.”

The most recent beneficiary of a court judgment is the Los Angeles insurer L.A.Care Health Plan, which was awarded nearly $6 million on Feb. 14 by Judge Thomas C. Wheeler of the Court of Federal Claims. Observing that the money was promised by the ACA and that Trump had no right to stiff the insurers, Wheeler wrote that “L.A. Care should not be left ‘holding the bag’ for taking our Government at its word.”.....

the Trump administration’s assault on the Affordable Care Act — although some of its sabotage was effective, some of its moves were so incompetent that they ended up helping the very consumers Trump was trying to harm. If he and his minions weren’t such boobs, things might have been much, much worse. "

The Mueller investigation wrapping up?  Not even a sit down face-to-face with Trump so he can give answers to the American people?  What a flipping joke.  Trump's deep state is clearly at work.  He's hand-picked all the people to oversee the investigation into HIM!
