It's weird how you never hear interviews with voters in diners who thought they were voting for excellent email security.

It's settled law in DC federal court that there's no unqualified immunity for a former White House Counsel.

Don McGahn doesn't work for the White House, and in fact Trump has no power to stop him from testifying tomorrow.

If he doesn't show up, send the U.S. Marshals out. Period.

As of my last check, McGahn did not show up.  This one is sticky as the information the committee is seeking covers the period when McGahn was employed in the White House.  While there may be "no unqualified immunity,"  that does not mean there isn't any in this circumstance.  If that doesn't work, then they can claim attorney-client confidentiality.  Either way, this would have to go to court of appeals and then Supreme Court.

Trump does not have the power to stop anyone from testifying as far as I know.  This would not be any different.

House Dem Caucus Chair Jeffries pushes back on notion that impeachment push is building:

“It’s clear to anybody who’s paying attention. We’re in the majority because of ...[members] who did not run on impeachment, did not run on collusion, did not run on obstruction of justice.”

“That remains the North Star for the overwhelming majority of the House Democratic Caucus,” Jeffries adds at his weekly presser.
