It is up to the Republican voters in Alabama.  They did not do it last time; will they do it this time?  Stay tuned for next week's exciting episode in this serial.

The GOPers outside of Alabama (e.g. the GOP national committee) can have a lot of influence over who wins the GOP primary;  e.g.  providing funds for a candidate.  Paying for highly competence campaign consultants.     I assume they will do this to try defeat Moore in the primary.

Note what the DNC has already said they are going to do;  not support any primary challenges.   E.g. if a consultant works on a campaign that challanges an incumbent in the Dem primary that consultant will not be hired for any General election candidates.     This was done to prevent another A.O.C. from beating an incumbent in the Dem primary.

We have to look at his ugly mug again on some magazine cover???? YUCK! Seriously, I think he's gained 50 lbs since he took office.

The only covers I see are the ones by the checkout in the grocery store--The National Enquirer, etc.

Hard to tell how much Donny has gained, he was so fat to start with, but he looks like he put on

some extra pounds. The question as to just how fat Trump is is being called girtherism.

This transcript will help House Judiciary in court,

because a judge can look at each of the 155 questions that the White House directed Hicks not to answer and determine if there was any basis to do so.

It shows exactly how obstructive the White House has been.

US Senate votes to block Trump's $8bn Saudi arms sale

"The US Senate has voted to block the sale of billions of dollars' worth of weapons to Saudi Arabia, striking a blow to President Donald Trump.

Mr Trump bypassed Congress last month in an attempt to push through the $8bn (£6bn) deal, citing threats to Saudi Arabia from its bitter rival Iran.

But on Thursday - in a rare bipartisan act - the Republican-led Senate passed three resolutions to prevent the sale.

The president has promised to veto the action,.......

Members of Congress have also heavily criticised Saudi Arabia's human rights record over its role in the Yemen conflict and the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul last October.

On Wednesday, the UN said there was credible evidence that Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and other high-level officials were liable for the killing of Mr Khashoggi.......

Says it all.  Until the House and Senate vote to over ride his veto, it is meaningless.

Trump on US drone position: "This drone was in international waters, clearly...it's documented scientifically, not just words." Don't look now, but Trump's just advocated science over opinion! What? But, sadly it's likely just another sign that he can't hold a consistent thought.

Wow. Hicks was accompanied by 6 lawyers to her House Judiciary Committee testimony: 2 private attorneys, 3 White House lawyers, and 1 from DOJ. The lawyers objected to questions more than 150 times on the basis of “absolute immunity.” Full transcript: https://judiciary.house.gov/sites/democrats.judiciary.house.gov/files/documents/HJU170550%20Hicks%20interview.pdf

Hicks’ response to questions about Trump’s foreign dirt comments are a bit more nuanced. She says she’d call the FBI “if I felt it was legitimate enough to have our law enforcement dedicate their time to it.” https://www.politico.com/story/2019/06/20/hope-hicks-refused-questions-house-testimony-1374240

I should be inured to it by now, but it still hurt—it was still soul-crushing—to see Marco Rubio beaming in the audience as Trump kicked off his reelection campaign with his trademark combination of self-pity and self-aggrandizement.

How did 18 1/2 mins. of a crucial Watergate-related chat between President Nixon and his chief of staff get erased - this day in 1972? Nixon's secretary, Rose Mary Woods, demonstrates how she did it - claiming it was an accident. The "Rose Mary Stretch," it came to be called
