Chuck and Nancy voted to pay the bills the U.S. already owed didn't they?  And not to shut down the government as Trump needlessly did for several months.

I'm talking about the budget deal that was just made.    Chuck and Nancy agreed to let the GOP overspend on their pet peeves like defense spending,  while Trump and Mitch agreed to let the Dems spend on theirs (e.g. Planned Parenthood).

In addition the 4 agreed to raise the debt ceiling.     Instead I wanted across the board cuts to all Federal spending like what the sequester did a while back.

There's no equivalency between the two major political parties. People trying to show an equivalency are no better than people who enable trump.

At a campaign rally on Thursday night, President Trump mocked a man who he thought was a protester being disruptive.

But the man turned out to be a supporter of the president.
==================================

President Trump called the supporter he shamed for being overweight at last night's rally from aboard Air Force One and left him a voicemail, per WH official.

Trump told the man it was the president calling, that he wasn’t talking about him when he fat-shamed someone, and thanked him for support, per Trump aides.

Jeez, this literally sounds like a freaking Larry David sketch.

Shell Workers Had To Attend Trump Speech To Be Paid, Were Ordered Not To Protest: Report

They were instructed: “No yelling, shouting, protesting or anything viewed as resistance,”

".....

only those who showed up at 7 a.m., scanned their ID cards and prepared to stand for hours through lunch would be paid.

“No scan, no pay,” workers were warned.

In addition, workers who decided not to listen to the president’s speech reportedly would not be paid overtime rates routinely built in for extra time during the week........

The new $6 billion plant, which has been under construction since 2017, is an “ethane cracker” plant. It will “crack” ethane, a natural gas liquid found in some natural gas deposits, and turn it into plastic pellets to be used in various plastic products. The plant will produce over 1 million tons of plastic.

Environmentalists and community groups complain that the operation will harm the region’s air quality and will increase carbon emissions and plastic pollution.

Trump took full credit for the plant in his speech, even though it was initially approved in June 2016,

during the Obama administration......

Major consideration is being given to naming ANTIFA an “ORGANIZATION OF TERROR.” Portland is being watched very closely. Hopefully the Mayor will be able to properly do his job!

SAD: Last night,

again made unfounded claims about massive voter fraud in NH in 2016.

In this letter, I ask him to back up his claims in terms a former casino operator should understand:

“There comes a time when you need to lay your cards on the table or fold.”

The key to any meaningful new Federal gun control laws is the Senate and electing GOP members that would vote for these 'reasonable' and 'moderate' measures.    Even if Trump was to win re-election,,,, (sorry,  I'm feeling sick,,,),    he is so gutless that the odds are high he wouldn't veto a gun-bill that passed with bipartisan support.

E.g.  There are more registered Dems in KY than Republicans,  the land of Moscow-Mitch.    Defeating Mitch as well as other GOP Senators is key.    (but sadly there are few GOP Senators up for re-election in states that Trump loss or where the Dems have an edge over the GOP in voter registration).

Trump probably would sign a gun bill passed by both House and Senate, even ones controlled by Dems in his second term.  At that point, he has no obligation to his base for further elections and he will be looking to burnish his legacy.

Doesn't matter if there are more registered Dems that GOPers in KY, far too many of registered Dems vote conservative or right of center.  That's what keeps Mitch in.

A memo from the GOP House of Representatives tries to pin the current spate of mass murders in America upon liberals, citing even El Paso as an example.

In 2018 the GOP won 5 of the 6 House districts which is a bad sign (well unless you're Mitch!).

But I assume gerrymandering had something to do with that.

Yes, clearly  "far too many of registered Dems vote conservative or right of center" in KY and that means GOP representation.    I guess I'm just full of wishful thinking.

Wow, Report Just Out! Google manipulated from 2.6 million to 16 million votes for Hillary Clinton in 2016 Election! This was put out by a Clinton supporter, not a Trump Supporter! Google should be sued. My victory was even bigger than thought!

The FEC chair clobbered Trump for claiming Dems cheated the 2016 election:

"Academics have studied this.

Lawyers have studied this.

The government has studied this.

Democrats have studied this. Republicans have studied this.

NO one can find any evidence of rampant voter fraud"

Today's false claim, by Trump, of pro-Clinton vote-switching orchestrated by Google
is his most dangerous yet,

as it sets the stage for Trump contesting the 2020 election if he loses.

Remember, he faces immediate federal prosecution if he's not re-elected.

Trump accuses Google of election fraud

citing right-wing conspiracy site, claiming victory over Clinton was 'even bigger than thought'

Study after study has indicated Mr Trump is wrong about election fraud

"..... , Mr Trump has frequently claimed — falsely — that millions of votes were illegally cast during that contest. This latest accusation does not cite a specific study, and instead tagged the group Judicial Watch, a conservative activist group that targets Democrats through frequent lawsuits, and has made false or unsubstantiated claims in the past that have been picked up by conservative or right-wing news outlets. .....

most observers of the election have pointed towards outside influence from Russia as the biggest source of an attack on the election. Russia, during that election, sought to boost Mr Trump's candidacy, according to the investigation by former special counsel Robert Mueller's team. ........

Trump decries 'great disloyalty' of Jews who vote for Democrats

President Trump said Tuesday that Jews who vote for Democrats were either ignorant or disloyal.

Trump was asked if the United States should reconsider its policies toward Israel after the country refused to permit two Muslim-American U.S. congresswomen to enter.

“Any Jewish people that vote for a Democrat — I think it shows either a total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty,” said Trump. It wasn’t clear what he meant by “disloyalty” — and whether it be to Israel, the United States or their faith.

I find this type of thing horrendous but how much different is it then people-of-color candidates like Harris that clearly imply that voting for,  say,  Joe Biden,  is being disloyal.

Hopefully this latest sick move by Trump backfires just like Harris's attack on Joe.    According to a poll I saw on MSNBC Harris is down 12% from her peak (right after the 1st debate where she attacked Joe).     Many believe the reason is that,  upon reflection,   many Dems felt the attack was too aggressive and uncalled for.    They also didn't think Harris can recover.

BREAKING: President Trump tweets that he is "postponing" his upcoming meeting with Danish PM Mette Frederiksen

based on her comments "that she would have no interest in discussing the purchase of Greenland."

The US president has been expected to visit Denmark in early September.
------------------------
“Thankfully, the time where you buy and sell other countries and populations is over. Let’s leave it there.

Jokes aside, we will of course love to have an even closer strategic relationship with the United States,”

Frederiksen had previously said of idea of US buying Greenland.
