I wonder if the recent decision regarding Olivia De Havilland's Feud case was Joan's revenge.

The film that I have watched from nearly a month ago is a wonderful foreign language horror film from academy award winner Guillermo del Toro entitled Cronos (1993). The film's gore factor ranges from moderate to extreme, but it doesn't shy away from the main story as well as del Toro's themes and motifs that he utilizes in his later work, such as catholicism and his fascination with horror and fantasy.

Saw the Wizard of Oz yesterday on the big screen. Never really fully appreciated the film until now. Seeing as intended is a game changer.

I am so excited to say that we are now 70 members strong and growing! Below is a link you can follow to see the latest news from our chapter. Our Latest Email You'll note that we have a shared file for members to use so that they can drop their photos and videos in it and I can post them on twitter and our website in (close to) REAL TIME! I can't wait to see all that our members have to share with us. If I can, I'll share the photos and video here but if I can't you can always find them on our website www.tcmbacklotsfchapter.com. I so wish that I had been able to head out to the Film Festival but I blew my travel budget on my trip to India. I just got back and it was a fabulous time but next year I plan on being at the Festival, for sure! A big SHOUT OUT to Louie Jordan the president of the Des Moines chapter. He created a nice facebook page for all of the local chapter Backlot members. You can find that here. There's been lots of chatter on our Twitter feed @tcmbacklotsf so get in on the fun - follow us and I'll follow you back. I had a fun conversation with our Chicago and Portland Chapters. TCM Members are the BEST! I plan to head out to visit all the different chapter locations and try to coordinate my visit with one of their events. I just love getting to know everyone and sharing our love for classic film. I have included posting here as part of my Prez duties so I won't be so quiet from here on. Let's Movie!

I just learned that actress Emma Chambers passed away from a heart attack on Feb. 21. I was so shocked by her passing. I've been a fan of Emma's since the first time I saw her as Alice Tinker on "The Vicar of Dibley" starring Dawn French. I will miss her very much. She brought me great pleasure.

Hi spence, I understand you are having issues trying to remove old messages from your inbox. I will try and explain how you can delete them. The first thing you need to do is go into your Inbox. Once there, you will see a list of all of the messages that you have received from other members. On the left side of each message in that list, just below the picture of the sender is a little box you can click on. When you click in this box a little checkmark will appear in the box. This is how you select the messages you want to delete. When you click on the checkbox, two new buttons will show up at the bottom of your screen. One of these boxes will have the image of a trashcan on it. Click on the trashcan to delete the message permanently. You can select multiple messages this way and delete them all at once. Just be careful. Once deleted, I cannot undo it. I hope this helps.
