It was intriguing to learn from Dave Karger that the Crime Doctor film shown recently was the first in a series that replicated a popular early radio show. How about a Crime Doc Day to show them all? It’s fun to consider those transition years between radio and television, and how the early ‘content creators’ wrestled with the new form of expression, and how to reach and hold an audience. Amnesia always seemed to be a grabber, or perhaps more likely, a writer’s shortcut.
