Oh yes, when I watch the movies I can clearly see the love and the heartache between Jeanette and Nelson. There are scenes where they are looking into each other eyes with such love that transcends what you see on the screen. And there are scenes where you can see how hard they were working at not crying during their love songs. You can see the tears in the eyes or how they cannot keep eye contact because of the tears. I personality do not see how anyone can watch the movies and not see all of this.

My favorite kiss is in the classic film "Maytime' between Nelson Eddy and Jeanette MacDonald. The scene under the tree was great but the scene where they kiss in the final part of the opera they were performing was enough to light a fire in my heart.

I loved the Jeanette & Nelson movies long before I read Sharon's book. I knew they they were "in love" with each other just by paying attention to the electricity between them. I think their love flowed from the screen right into the audience. Sharon's book just confirmed what I already felt, and as a result I understood Jam and Nels so much better. I watch the movies every chance I get and I'm very grateful to TMC for showing them.
