  1. http://cgi.ebay.com/Once-a-Thief-1950-DVD-Cesar-Romero-June-Havoc_W0QQitemZ9113237453QQcategoryZ617QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Yeah, I saw that earlier but I don't think I want to go for it. It appears that it is probably a DVD copy and that seller does have some negatives about poor quality copies. Thanks anyway. If you ever see others please post tem back I am always interested and will check out all possibities. Regards, Debbie
  2. OK, I was going to ask you who is June but you already noted that. .....Sorry if it appeared that I was questioning your taste.... Oh no, not at all. It's just that one person's opinon about a move may not be someone's else's opinon. I saw this movie quite some time back and have some vague rememberence of it and thoght it was a good move (that was then) but if I ever get the chance to see it again I might have a different outlook on it.
  3. Good grief! I had no idea except for one or two of the later releases.
  4. I didn't know that there was another "once a thief" except the 1965 one with Alain Delon, Van Heflin, Ann Margret and Jack Palance. Is it any good? Well, I don't think it has anything to do with the 1965 version (not sure though) but to ask is it any good that's a matter of one's opinion. Since I am looking for it then I must think it's good.
  5. Your best bet would be to call him on his 1-800 number and talk with him directly (he tends not to respond to emails). Then you can ask if the movie is going to be an original or a copy. If he tells you it will be a copy he won't tell you from what TV station it came from but TV copies are usually TCM. Out of ten movies I bought from hime only two were not TV copies but they were copies from an original VHS. I don't mind copies as long as they are good and there is no other means to obtain the movie (ie oop, never released, etc). I am going to call him about the movie I posted about.I already know it is going to be a copy.
  6. OK. Never mind about my previous post. For some reason that link wasn't sending me to the correct Web Site. Anyway I tried it again and after several attempts I finally got to roberts video. OK, this is Roberts Hard To Find Videos and I have bought from him in the past. Be careful what you buy from him. Some of his movies are OK but others are bad copies and it is difficult to determine what you are going to get (a genuine VHS or a copy). Usually if the description indicates 'Plain Packaging' then it will be a copy. I bought a bunch of movies from him awhile back. Some were good and others were bad. All were TV copies from TCM, AMC, or where ever he was able to get it from. Also, he tends to be quite expensive. I once compared several titles and he was far higher than other sources that had the same movie. However, in many cases he is the only source so if you want it bad enough you have to get it from him. I would say that in most cases you will get a good recording (but definitely a TV copy).
  7. I went to that link you posted but I don't see where it shows the movie. It's just a bunch of links. I even entered the title in the search box but all it did was give me another page of more links to unrelated hits. I don't understand how that web site works
  8. Thanks mark I just hope that Columbia Tristar Television is the same as Columbia Pictures that make movies for the big screen I'll give it a try
  9. Hello everyone Anyone know how I can contact, via email prefered, Columbia Pictures? I went to their Web Site but was unable to find any link for help or to submit a question. Thanks Debbie
  10. Hi everyone I'm looking for a movie titled 'Once a Thief' released in 1950 staring Caesar Romero, June Havoc, Marie McDonald, etc. Anyone ever hear of it and know where I might obtain this movie?
  11. I have seen it twice on TV. The last time I saw it was about 15-20 years ago. Too bad for me that I didn't have a VCR at that time. I have already checked with TCM and AMC but to no avail. I have even gone so far as to check with a few movie search companies. Dead end. It's probably not likely that it will ever be released or surface from somewhere. I thought maybe someone somewhere might have an old TV recording of it. I think my quest will just go nowhere. Maybe I'll contact Columbia.
  12. Hi everyone and anyone Anyone know whatever happened to the movie "Cell 2455, Death Row" staring William Campbell? I know it was never released but is it possible to obtain
