The way AMC used to be, and the way TCM is now, is the way EVERY cable channel SHOULD be: Commercial-free. Just think of the tremendous boatloads of money that monthly cable and satellite subscribers are pouring into the broadcasters' pockets. That was one early promise of cable: commercial-free TV. Now many of us are actually PAYING to have salesman screaming in our living rooms. P.T. Barnum would be proud.
