  1. Oh goodness snakes alive!!!!!!!!!! I'm hip-mo-tized!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Well, gwtw... Can I offer some assistance here? [i think you are somewhat confused...] Bergman Grant Hitchcock = Notorious but... Bergman Grant title starting with "I" = Indiscreet Now, you can make a guess based on that...
  3. Inglis, how do I compete with such youthful enthusiasm? Good for you, SusannO! You have successfully answered your first [and not your last, I'm sure...] trivia question! You receive the "smug self-satisfaction" award, with clusters, ruffles and flourishes. It is from "Dark Victory" and once I got past my Seinfeld mental block, the answer came to me as well. Now, you must devise your first trivia question. Let your imagination take flight...take your time and have some fun...
  4. Well, yes, you're [and not your] TOOMANYNOTES, which is certainly better than NOTENOUGHNOTES or TOOFEWNOTES, and grammatically correct, unlike TOOMUCHNOTES...so, no need to have a frown.
  5. Pardon me, dpd... Who is the woman in the white blouse? She is striking.
  6. Two additions to a fascinating list: Van Heflin as "Jeff Hartnett" in Johnny Eager [Oscar winner for Best Supporting Actor in 1942] Robert Taylor as "Det. Sgt. Chris Kelvaney" in Rogue Cop Message was edited by: wordmaster
  7. I don't believe that is correct, but that is for our host to determine. My guess, after doing some Fudd-related research, is Joe "Wanna buy a duck?" Penner.
  8. The "Elmer Fudd" question above by our esteemed host, of course: Who voiced Elmer in one Daffy Duck short, and who was the inspiration for the drawing?
  9. Yes, it can be a problem with us univer-silly etch-u-mac-a-ted in-a-vi-duels.
  10. Can I reply, Inglis? [...or can I give you a dose of editing some spelling errors? ;-) ]
  11. Oh, dear. I'm in trouble. I may get better, but I will never be...well.
  12. Thanks for that. The "I" didn't strike me as correct - should've gone with my original impulse. Is "Murgatroyd" an actual reference to someone? [better to be a "Y's ACRE" than to be...un-Y's (?)]
  13. That's much better. FYI: Some [actually, most] of my inspiration comes from my well-worn copy of the VideoHound Golden Movie Retriever. There is a list of Movies by Category in the back - I turn to Psychotics/Sociopaths or other similar categories and...presto!...my imagination comes to life. Message was edited by: wordmaster
  14. That picture [of the little bouncing ball] is how I do it. This is my mind, even with the medication.
  15. My contributions: John Payne Robert Taylor and Tyrone Power [after aging] Ricardo Montalban [before aging]
  16. Oh, Garbo, that just...won't...DO. It's not nice to laugh at people. ;-) You'll have to be much more careful...
  17. What can I tell you? It's a gift. B-) I'm known elsewhere (cf. thread re: psychotic movie marathon) for being...shall we say...unbalanced. ["Sidewalk to Nowhere", coincidentally, was a proposed title for my upcoming memoirs, as was "Unclassified Male" and others I won't mention.] Oh, hello there, GM...how pleasant to see you again...just passing by... 18. Well, then, GM... I don't know whether to thank you or come at you with my 15-inch chef's knife... ;-) ...or maybe I'll just sneak up behind you with my black gloves and my piano wire... ...or maybe I'll have a bowl of FrootLoops and a long nap... I'm so, so tired...when will the voices ever stop?????????? ["Strangers on a Train" definitely needs to be on the list - love that Robert Walker...] Message was edited by: wordmaster Message was edited by: word-"maniac"
  19. I totally agree re: both H-B and "Rocky and Bullwinkle" [Moose and Squirrel are available on DVD, gladly]. Just one 'r' in Hanna-Barbera, by the way. I just went to Wikipedia to get myself a good flashback of the Hanna-Barbera lineup...and I can practice my limited voice imitation skills in the privacy of my humble abode.
  20. A small correction...you are, I think, referring to "Snagglepuss", who is known for his frequent exclamation, "Heavens to Murgatroid", and his exits to stage left or right [which I occasionally appropriate as a tribute to the HB cartoons I enjoyed as a youngster]. I am combing the recesses of my memory [if recesses can be combed, that is] for the answer to your question...it's going to cost me a mighty smack to my forehead when I hear it, though.
  21. Ahem, David... Have you been sprinkling Bunuel on your Wheaties again?
  22. Hey, clamster, this is a fantastic idea! ...and a good way to get your friends juiced up is by a little bit of creepiness...you'll have to judge for yourself how little/much they can take... Here are my suggestions: Cape Fear [1961] with Mitchum as Max Cady Diabolique [if you want a little foreign flavour] The Hitch-hiker Leave Her to Heaven The Most Dangerous Game Peeping Tom Play Misty for Me [a bit too contemporary, possibly, but might fit your needs] White Heat The Sea Wolf [1941] with Edward G. Robinson as Wolf Larsen I could go on, but I didn't want to get too obscure or delve into anything too cheesy... The selections you have been given to date, as well as your own [The Bad Seed is an exemplary choice on your part, and could be the centrepiece for your marathon], are all good. I'll look forward to you reporting back to us on how they enjoyed some of these, and which ones didn't register. It'll give us seasoned individuals a sense of what creepiness crosses generational lines.
  23. Dennis Price in softcore porn??? I just watched him over the weekend in "Tunes of Glory", where he gave a very measured and distinguished performance in a difficult role, holding his own with Alec Guinness and John Mills. Gracious me, there must be some kind of story behind that fall from grace...
  24. I'm usually not too good at this, but the end of the movie is one that stuck with me until even now. The film is "The Bad Seed", with the creepy and precocious Patty McCormack as the little girl in question. You can view the trailer for the film on the Movie Database above, and give yourself a flashback. wordmaster
