  1. Favorite comic westerns...Number one would be "The Scalphunters" with Burt Lancaster and Shelly Winters..it gets richer and funnier with each viewing...number two would be "The Ballad of Cable Hogue", Sam Peckinpahs only lyrical comedy...or only comedy...Jason Robards, Stella Stevens are wonderful int this mesmerizing little gem.
  2. CAMELOT is also one of my favorite musicals...it's light years better than the stage play, which i saw with Richard Burton and Julie Andrews...The play is a mess and the story doesnt work very well....The film filled in holes in the story and also gave us a very lovely Vanessa Redgrave who might not have the voice of Julie Andrews but has an earthiness and believability that poor Julie never managed to capture... Yes this one is a keeper.
  3. what a great offer....I would absolutely love a vhs copy to get me through until they decide to release it on DVD....how shall i send you particulars?
  4. This has always been my favorite western...its kind of an undiscovered masterpiece..Has never been available on home vid as far as I know..Its got Gary Cooper, Maria Schell, George C. Scott, Ben Cooper...A great theme song sung by Marty Robbins...directed by Delmer Daves....We need to get this one restored and released on DVD....any other fans out there? Thanks.
