  1. Ruby was a "cutie pie", but her dancing, well, she was no Fred Astaire. Her tap routine on the taxi roof in 42nd. street was embarrassing. Being Jolson's wife is what made here career. In later life her acting improved, but it was bad in her early films
  2. I would like to see "The Day The Earth Stood Still" . This flick is a classic in it's own right, but a new one with some tasteful special effects done by a really good director like Steven Spielberg would be great. It would be hard to replace Michael Rennie, Timothy Dalton comes to mind.
  3. I'd really love to see a series set of DVD's be issued with a nice assortment of "One Reel Wonders" These are great and many "Stars" got their start on these one reelers. Most were well done with high production values. I've been a film "buff" for over 50 years and I always liked the "extra's" that followed the "Feature Presentation". Leave cartoons out of the mix as they belong in a catagory of their own. Anyone else like these little "Gems" from Hollywood??
