  1. Thank you for the information! I had narrowed it down through IMDB, and that was what my guess was! Wow ? I wish I had a recording of it. Nan Wynn was fantastic. And Joe Sodja ? man, he would definitely rival Les Paul! Message was edited by: cfensch Message was edited by: cfensch
  2. I guess I answered my own question. The clip was indeed "Freddie Rich and His Orchestra (1938)" I am wondering if it is available on DVD in any format?
  3. I've been doing some searching on IMDB, does anyone think this could be it? Freddie Rich and His Orchestra (1938)
  4. Hi all? This is my first posting. Last night, at about 11:50PM Mountain Standard, I tuned in to TCM and caught a clip of a film or musical that doesn't seem to be listed in the TCM schedule (it doesn't seem to match what the film was). In it, there was about a 12-piece band, a lovely female singing quartet, and then a guitarist played a hot track. I was thinking the guitarist was Les Paul, as the style seemed to match his. However, I cannot confirm this. I just caught a moment of a brief credit which mentioned Vitaphone. The period looked like the early 1940s. Any ideas of what it was? Thank you!
