Karin, Holy Smokes! You are correct! It is Ralph Forbes! I have THE TRAIL OF '98, so I should have been able to figure this one out on my own. Thanks again.I was concentrating on her films made at Fox, TRAIL OF '98 was an MGM release directed by Clarence Brown. That must have been why I was so puzzled? The film is missing a few sequences, but the story still holds up pretty well. Harry Cary plays a dastardly villain for one of the few times in his career. Karl Dane is also in the movie, and He is always a lot of fun.

Jill, Well, at least they did find Constance Talmadge EAST IS WEST and it is being restored at the present time. Doesn't do us allot of good though if they are not going to start offering the Talmadge features to the public. *Constance Talmadge in EAST IS WEST*

This photo should be Charles Farrell and Delores Del Rio from Raoul Walsh THE RED DANCE (Fox. 1928). But I don't think that it is? This guy doesn't look like Farrell to me??? Anyone know who it is? He is familiar somehow?

Wow! Great stuff! Besides THE WINNING OF BARBARA WORTH, THE NIGHT OF LOVE survives. TWO LOVERS was around at the MoMA for many years, but seems to now be lost? Very sad. THE DARK ANGEL was supposed to be in some archive someplace, but when Christine contacted them, they could not find it. Portions of THE MAGIC FLAME do still exist. I don't know how much though? HER NIGHT OF ROMANCE with Constance Talmadge survives.

This seems like something from India, but it's not. That thing looks dangerous, not to mention uncomfortable! Bet they didn't sell many of these. You wouldn't want to dance wearing this around stranglers! *Jetta Goudal "Wacky Headress" from OPEN ALL NIGHT (1924)*

PTAndersonFan, This is a link to a brand new thread on Nitrateville about surviving Mix features for Fox. It might help to provide some useful information? http://nitrateville.com/viewtopic.php?t=3159

Jill, Well it still is not working. I probably should feel fortunate that all my older photos are all still there. They must be having trouble. I think I am registered on Image-Shack or something like that. I have never used it though.

Everyone, Say, I can't add anything more to my Photobucket account this evening? Are they having problems on the website? Or could it be that I am just out of my allotted space there? How can I find out what is going on? I can still access my old photos, but I can't add anything new to the mix. It says there was a "Network Error." Is anyone else having the same trouble? I have been trying for hours with no success. I wanted to post some photos of Norma Talmadge, Talmadge and Gilbert Roland together. Plus Raquel Torres (White Shadows In The South Seas) in the Silent's Gallery thread. I have not been able to do so.

PTAndersonFan, This is a difficult question to answer. It really depends allot if you are talking large or small markets. According to Exhibitors Herald Magazine for the year ending poll of October 1926 (mainly covering smaller theaters) the top film of that year was the now completely forgotten and apparently lost "THE KEEPER OF THE BEE'S". A feature released in the Fall of 1925. The movie featured Clara Bow in a supporting role, (She had made several starring features) and was released by FBO (Film Booking Office), which later on became RKO Radio pictures. However, generally speaking, I would say the most popular feature of the second half of the 20's was probably King Vidor's THE BIG PARADE from 1925. It had an almost 2 year run at the Capitol Theater in New York. The movie also ranks in the top 3 or 4 grossing movies of the entire Silent Era overall, With some reports putting it in first place. Although, I have heard the same thing said about Rex Ingram's THE FOUR HORSEMAN OF THE APOCALYPSE (1921). Frank Borzage's SEVENTH HEAVEN (Fox, 1927) also has to be considered a strong contender for the most popular Silent of the late 1920's. This is of course not even considering any foreign Silents.

Hey Scottman! I just sent you some music. You should be getting it in a few minutes from now. Let me know what you think. You may, or may not know what it is when you start playing it? I'll be curious to see what you think?
