  1. I'd have to agree with the Tom Cruise votes. And it's not because of his personal life. I don't think I'd like him much in person but there are other actors I probably wouldn't want to meet but adore on the screen. I personally don't get why he's so famous. I don't think he changes from role to role and I get no emotions from him. I think he should have been a stuntman. Again, I don't completely hate him, no star is worth that kind of emotion, but I think he's severly overrated.

  2. Yeah, $24 seems excessive. I don't even buy DVDs that cost that much.

Thanks for the link! I'm definitley bookmarking that one. I wish the films were being screened later. I actually plan on moving to NYC for the year starting in September. What are the chances that they'd show it again? I live in Maine so...I think that's a bit for me to go just for a movie!

Oh those big entertainment cities...they hog everything!

  3. There was actually a biographical piece on her as one of the extras for "Dinner at Eight." It is tragic that she died so early but she seemed to have made a lot of films for so short a life. They focused on a lot of her films so I'm sure I'll end up trying to get to all of them. Thanks for the response :)

  4. I only joined the forum yesterday but everyone on here appears to be a film buff! I'm sadly lacking in my knowledge of classic films and I thought maybe you guys would be willing to give some input (I'm trying to use the fact that I'm only 21 as an excuse for my naivety). Anyway, I've only seen one Harlow film "Dinner at Eight" and I enjoyed her in it and would love to see more. So what Harlow films do you love?

(I'm hoping this is the appropriate spot to post this!)
