  1. Thanks for that great post. You would have enjoyed seeing the portrayal of the procession in the motion picture. It certainly looked authentic. Dozens of men in military-type dress uniforms; women in white; all marching slowly in formation. It was really something.
  2. I found what I was looking for. The music turned out to be from a jazz funeral procession after all.   3. I only had time to watch a few minutes of "Imitation of Life" tonight, and this was during the funeral procession for Delilah. I'm aware of jazz versions of this in New Orleans, but not the funeral band and music that was portrayed in the movie. I must hear more of this music! I've Googled and Yahooed, but can't find anything about it. Is anyone familiar with this genre?
