Does anyone know the source and date of the short (a "Characters Welcome"/ "One-Reel Wonders" item) on Hattie McDaniel that was shown on TCM last week (Thurs., May 4, I believe)? I wish these items were included in the TCM online schedule. Do they appear in the "Now Playing" guide?

Is this a trick question? The first choice, Fredi Washington, WAS black! (And, I should add, she is well-known to black film history buffs. Her work is discussed in studies by historians of black film, Donald Bogle and Thomas Cripps, among others.)
