    Film Title???

If you are refering to "The General" with Buster Keaton, I have had it on dvd for several years now. I really all silent movies but Nosferatu just happens to be my favorite. I think the KINO version I have is a couple of years old - it offer's 2 differeant scores. John

    Film Title???

This really dosen't concern a film titlebut a question regarding a film. My favorite file is Nosferatu (1922), I remember seeing it for the first time in 1972. I remember a scene where Count Orloc was crawling down the exterior wall as Hutter looked out the window. I have bought every version I could find (even KINO) and none of them contain this scene. Could i be mistaken and it is another vampire film? Please, can someone help me?

many years ago I seen the film Nosferatu. What stuck out in my mind was a scene from the fil where Coun Orloc is crawling down the castle wall head first. I have purchased several copies of the movie but none of them contain this scene. Does anyone know who sells the complete version of Nosferatu? Someone told me to try Kini International. John
  6. I seen a snip of "Faust" in the "Phantom of the Opera" I want to see the entire movie. I just bought my copy of "Beyond the Rocks" it was good but not what I was hoping it would be. I am waiting for them to find and restore "zaZa" with Glorious Gloria Swanson.
  7. I wish they would release "Isadora" on dvd
  8. I am looking for anything I can find on an actress of the silent era named Batty Macdonald. The only film she made was called " The Flute of Kirshna." I am trying to find a picture of her. Any help you guys can provide will be deepy appreciated. John
  9. I happen to be the proud owner of all 4 of the "Silent 'OZ' " films on dvd; The Patchwork Girl of Oz 1914 The Magic Cloak of OZ 1914 His Majesty, The Scarecrow of Oz 1914 (all of which starred Charlie Chaplin's future wife, Mildred Harris, and all directed by L. Frank Baum himself.) The Wizard of Oz 1925 Being a devout fan of the silent film it is with a heavy heart that I say; The 1925 version of the Wizard of Oz was a total waste of time money and talent. The only thing good about it is the fact that is it a piece of film history, no matter how bad.
  10. The sound and picture quality are really rather good, except for Intolerance, the sound is awful. Their silent wizard of oz movies are superior , but whoever put then on dvd has some woman narrating the title cards. I didn't know this till after I got them so I just pop in a classical cd when i play them. I don't have the company name handy but i will post it later this evening for you John
  11. To get the old MGM and Looney toons you could join Columbia House TV on Dvd club or check out the site www.oldies.com they have lots of silent movies an seriels. John
  12. I have yet to see a good documentary on Chaplin. I have the 2 disk set of "THE GOLD RUSH' and i don't even like the documentary that accompanies it. I wish the Chaplin estate would make one on Charlie, it would be 100 % better. John
  13. I wish they would find "Madam Sans Gene," and " zaza" both starring "Glorious" Gloria Swanson.
  14. I have the Chaplin collection on dvd and Gold Rush is among the. It contains both the original version and the 1942 version. I really like them both. I just got "A Burlesque on Carmen," sound quality isn't all that great but it is a wonderful movie. Not as good as The Great Dictator, or Tillie's Punctured romance, but good just the same. john
