Recently, I watched a GREAT movie by the great director Roselinni(sp)? I believe he was the father of beautiful actress Isabella. It was a 4 star movie said to be the first European (Italian) post world war II flick about Nazis in Rome. It had a pries that was killed by the Nazis at the end. It was a foreign film, done in Italian. Does anyone know the name of this movie?

I'm with you on Dorothy Dandridge- she was one hot woman! Gorgeous! Lena Horne too, but Dandridge had something extra... Marilyn Monroe is in the running too! (But both Dandridge & Monroe had tragic endings- so much unhappiness and so much beauty! Just goes to show ya!

Speaking of Ursula Andress- has anyone seen recent shots of her? Time has not been good to poor Ursula. :-(

The Race & Hollywood Series is a wonderful series that TCM has been doing for the month of May. As a bi-racial woman (father black, mother white), I have been intrigued by some of the story lines- especially dealing with light skinned blacks "passing" back in the day." I find it sad, though, to watch and see how racist hollywood was, but I guess it was only a reflection of society. I bet G-d is up there shaking His figurative head at the inhumanity and ridiculousness of humankind. Keep up the good work, Ted & Company. Ps. Love those Betty Davis flicks, too!
