*Dear Heart* is one of my favorite Glenn Ford movies. And Geraldine is a scream. She milks every drop of calcium out of a scene.
That crazy flower she carried everywhere...it cracked me up. And how she made up that fake name, Mr. Bimbo Jones, it is just like high school.
But I loved her attitude in that film because she wouldn't let anybody or anything keep her spirits low...she just kept a goin'. Her perseverance and her look-on-the-sunny-side attitude is going to insure that she is successful at something, even if it is spindly-plastic-plant hoarding...
But that film has so many great character actors from that era in it.
Both women who played Gladys Kravitz.( Alice Pearce, and Sandra Gould)...Mary Wickes, Ruth McDevitt, Richard Deacon, Barbara (My strap broke, your honor) Nichols...

Well, this is all the info so far....what another announcements are coming? I can't wait to see
the full schedule and see who else will be "sailing" the TCM tide...
Please add others if I have left anyone else out.
I have truly enjoyed watching all the TCM Employee Picks this month. I was so happy that I had met several of these wonderful folks at the festival last year...
-
Thanks, VDO VAULT.
TCM Film Festival fans are always on the troll for yummy, easy-to-obtain snacks. Trust me. You don't have much leisurely dining pleasure in the busy schedule....
-
I hope when passholders attend the screening of *Spartacus* that audience members all stand up for Kirk Douglas and shout "I am Spartacus!" It's such an iconic line about solidarity...
Thanks for the clarity of your response and the link, cinecrazydc!
Hopefully we'll see the full lineup soon...
-
Formal attire: you can't go wrong with pearls, darling!
Casual: perk up your look with colorful scarves, and remember you are never fully dressed
without a smile!
-
Hey, I'M SPARTACUS!

For news about the final schedule for the TCM Film Festival. Follow this link for updates at TCM:
http://news.turner.com/section_display.cfm?section_id=75
Also, the festival website has the most current news. I can't wait to find out about all the films that have been finally selected and if any more "celeb" guests and presenters are scheduled!

Incidentally, if any of you are visiting the Road To Hollywood event in Austin, Texas, on April 16, I might see you there! Ben Mankiewicz in visiting with Angie Dickinson prior to *RIO BRAVO*!

It's almost time to start my annual reports! Wonder who else will be out there with me?

-
Mine came yesterday afternoon. It had a silhouette of a cowboy on it! Yippe-yi-o-kayay!
-
Last year's "lunch bunch" was so much fun! The more the merrier....
-
I am so excited by the announcement on the website about upcoming festival highlights.
Kyle posted this link in another Festival Forum thread, but I'm encouraging everyone who hasn't seen the scheduled events to follow this link, too! http://www.tcm.com/festival/#/home/index
My mailbox should be open by now, BTW...

-

I just loved Eva Marie Saint's hairdo in this scene....It's so lustrous, shiny, and bouncy...
and reminds me of a Breck girl!
-
Oops! I'll take care of it by this afternoon. Thank you, ever vigilant Mavester!
-
Lynn did indeed make the scheduled contact, so I will try to access the free tickets. I already have a carload full coming from Houston if we are able to download the tickets....
This sounds great! Ben M. is a wonderful, down-to-earth fellow, and I can't wait to see him again.
He's very personable and easy to "chat up."
I enjoyed the way he handled the Esther Williams/Betty Garrett pool party at the TCM Fest last April....
-
But of course!!

-
Me, too, Jackie!

I can't wait to hear what Leslie Caron has to say about *An American in Paris*.
-
I am polishin' up my boots, and takin' my wagon intuh town fer supplies.....I don't wanna miss Roy's
celebrashun...
I can't wait to find out about the complete schedule...
-
The third version looks best from my monitor. But I will be honest, I will try to read these articles no matter the clarity. They are all so interesting.
Thank you, Peter.
-

*Madame Curie* and *Mrs. Parkington* are two of my favorites..

I will, Lynn! Emberly, I am going with at least two friends from the Austin area.
How will you recognize me? I am a 6 ft. tall cowgirl, and I will be wearing a black cowgirl hat
that might have some rhinestones on it by the time I arrive at the Paramount!
