Not a peep from the janitor either.

How the heck can Evelyn Ankers be Star of the Month without 'em?

What films aren't allowed to air on TCM due to rights??
PrinceSaliano replied to MerryPickford's topic in General Discussions
I've been requesting Universal titles 1929-45 for years! Especially the rarely-seen features of the Carl Laemmle era. Is TCM working on this? -
Yes indeed. I rarely look forward to 1970s films on TCM. But I did want to see this one. Go figure.
-
TCM didn't bring us the head of Alfredo Garcia.
-
It would nice if a programmer would chime in on this topic.

Bumping this up. When will rare Universal titles start showing up regularly on TCM?

Landers' crowning achievements were THE RAVEN and RETURN OF THE VAMPIRE.

What happened to MAN MADE MONSTER and THE HAUNTED PALACE? Will they be rescheduled?

The film was indeed cut by some 14 minutes prior to release. However, the bullet wound was not explained in any of the excised scenes. If there ever was an explanation, it was deleted from the script prior to shooting. This is all explained in great detail by Greg Mank in his book, HOLLYWOOD CAULDRON.

> {quote:title=Swithin wrote:}{quote}The Mummy and The Black Cat are two great, perfect films, in every way. But I love the follow-up Mummy movies as well. However I've always felt that the death of *Tante Berthe* in *The Mummy's Curse* is one of the great disappointments of cinema. Such an endearing character, played to perfection by Ann Codee: she sings a great song, is sympathetic and helpful to Princess Ananka, then BAM: killed by Kharis. It's just not fair. > > > And she doesn't even receiving billing!

Ah, the missing #31 is reserved for the missing THE CAT CREEPS (1930) starring Helen Twelvetrees and Neil Hamilton. I won't give up hope. The sound discs still survive and I would love to get the audio on CD. -
