Thelma certainly made enough movies to be Star of the Month. And don't forget her Hal Roach 2-reelers with ZaSu Pitts and Patsy Kelly.

This is truly what TCM is all about. Keep Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. Gimme Mae Clarke, Dwight Frye and Thelma Todd.

Thelma Todd is a great favorite of mine. TCM did show THE BIG TIMER (Columbia, 1932) so I'm hoping we will get to see DECEPTION too. Thelma Todd for Star of the Month!

Yes, very exciting...except that Thelma Todd's DECEPTION has been replaced by VIRTUE which has already played on TCM (it is a good pre-Code, though). Bring back DECEPTION!

That reminds me, they canceled Glenda Farrell's birthday tribute last year too!

I do agree. However, I expect more pre-Codes and B-movies each month. I don't think that needs an explanation, but TCM is the only outlet for those films. They are not available elsewhere (including DVD). I can accept the "Big Tent" approach touted by others, as long as vintage titles are well represented, which is not always the case.

For 2 1/2 years now, Columbia titles are announced and then removed from the schedule (REDHEAD FROM MANHATTAN, ALIBI FOR MURDER, I'LL FIX IT, NINE GIRLS, THE LADY OBJECTS, MURDER IN GREENWICH VILLAGE...and now DECEPTION). What is going on and why has it been happening for so long? Somebody needs to get it together!

I think Lon Chaney is my fave silent star. The films are unusual and many survive (other silent stars are not so fortunate).
