I don't know who is responsible for this, but they deserve a big promotion! Bravo!

Thanks, HG. Maybe they can squeeze 'em in between showings of THE WOMEN, CASABLANCA, FATHER OF THE BRIDE, various Oscar nominees and Spielberg tributes.

I'm puzzled at the randomness of the JUNGLE JIM titles shown. Why are these three "ready" for broadcast? They aren't even consecutive series entries.
-
Looks like at least two people missed the point.

Great quality may be in very short supply among films made in the last decade, or so, but that's because audiences have become too undemanding, filmmakers copy each other, and production companies are trying to wring quick profits out of their product before audiences wise up and realize the films are junk (but, of course, they never do).
I have zero interest in watching any of the titles you mentioned on TCM. If I were fans of them, I'd buy the DVDs.

You effed it up.

Looks like Jane Greer.

So much better than a salute to Spielberg!
-
No more excuses. Get it done.

I certainly hope that when Universal titles are made available, we'll get to see some very rare features from the Carl Laemmle era (1936 & prior).
For example, Fay Wray starred in three 1934 Universal releases that probably haven't been seen in 75 years...
MADAME SPY - directed by Karl (THE MUMMY) Freund
THE COUNTESS FROM MONTE CRISTO - directed by Karl (MAD LOVE) Freund
CHEATING CHEATERS - directed by Richard (NIGHT MUST FALL) Thorpe
-
THE CABINET OF CALIGARI (1962)
DON'T LOOK IN THE BASEMENT (ca. 1972)
ASYLUM (1973)
-
Gee, that's swell!!

Where are these 1940s Colmbia Bs???
ATLANTIC CONVOY (1942)

A great day...this is what TCM should be about.

On another thread, someone is bemoaning the scarcity of 1965-1975 titles on TCM...LOL...Maybe they need a "Beach Blanket Beatdown"!!!
-
I'd be _really_ impressed with a month-long tribute to *1929*.
-
They can salute Spielberg on AMC.
-
This is a true TCM day!
-
Douglass Dumbrille was married to Alan Mowbray's daughter.

Gee whiz, just what we need...a month-long tribute to 1975.
-
OMG...if we must endure another such month...Tod Browning, James Whale, William Beaudine, Phil Rosen, Ed Wood, Roy William Neill, Erle C. Kenton, Rowland V. Lee, Herschell Gordon Lewis, Ray Dennis Steckler.

Rare Columbia pre-codes on TCM in July
