    > It would be nice if TCM could show BAD COMPANY (1931), STATE'S ATTORNEY (1932) and maybe they could even get A BEDTIME STORY (1933) from Universal (since it was a Paramount film) to do a Helen Twelvetrees tribute.

All of those played on AMC back in the day, as did IS MY FACE RED? (1932), A WOMAN OF EXPERIENCE (1931) and MILLIE (1931).

I would be more surprised if a young actor in the repressed 50s in LA or NY did not have a variety of sexual experiences, be it Paul Newman, Marlon Brando, Sal Mineo, John Derek, Kevin McCarthy, Tony Curtis, John Saxon, Rock Hudson, George Nader, Jeff Chandler, etc., etc., etc,

  3. When does TCM's agreement with Columbia/Sony end? There are many Bs and pre-Codes which haven't been shown yet (PAROLE GIRL; FOG; BLACK MOON; THE MISSING JUROR). And several worthy of repeat (THE BIG TIMER; BY WHOSE HAND?; NO MORE ORCHIDS; ATLANTIC ADVENTURE). And what about Columbia serials???

  4. Who cares if Paul Newman (or Dean or Brando or Clift or Mineo) was gay, straight or bisexual? What does it matter? Would anybody care if he was Protestant, Catholic or Jewish?

Remember those lurid HOLLYWOOD BABYLON books? They were a fun read, but totally trashy (apparently, Jayne Mansfield was scalped, not decapitated and Lupe Velez did not die with her head in the toilet). Just enjoy the movies.

    > I actually enjoyed MILLIONAIRES IN PRISON. :) It seems that for a couple years in a row a few years back, TCM aired a full day of Lee Tracy films, to honor his birthday. I didn't see one film or performance, even his latter 30's/40's bargain-basement budget film stuff was enjoyable to see. But his heyday certainly the pre-code era.

    > I'd like to see another marathon of his flix, hopefully SUTS??? :)

    Ditto.

  6. TOP 10 REASONS TO LOVE TCM:

    1. No commercials

    2. Movies are uncut

    3. It's 24 hours a day

    4. TCM Underground

    5. Silent Sundays

    6. The occasional serial

    7. The July 2009 schedule

    8. They showed LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT reconstructed with stills

    9. They had a Guy Kibbee BirthdayFest

    10. PRE-CODES!!! Those Columbia pre-Codes are ultra-rare (hope they're repeated)
