Thank you very much. This will put both my friend's and my mind at ease.

I am trying to remember the name of a film set in rome during a holy event (I'm thinking 1950, a holy year, when allot of foreign priest are visiting the city), in the film an american priest and a convict posing as a priest run around the city. In the end the convict takes up monk's robes. I watched the film some time ago early morning on TCM, and have thought of it recently but cannot find the name. A friend said it sounded very familiar, but he also cannot remember the name of it.
