I saw this movie at a movie theatre when I was a teenager.....when it first came out. I was by myself and the movie let out about dusk and I had to walk home thru the underpass at 16th and Macdonald ave Richmond Calif....I kept looking back over my shoulder as I walked swiftly home. Its my favorite favorite movie. James Arness was fantastic as the thing.
