I'm not big fan of Going My Way either.
Mr. Fitzgerald was good.But Bing's Best performance was in The Country Girl. That movie was superb That whole cast was oscar worthy besides I like Bell's Of Saint Mary better, than Going My Way

I saw the movie for the first time yesterday. talk about a tear jerker .Jimmy Stewart was great as ever.I 'early never understand how any german ever deny that they never knew My Grandfather came from Berlin when he was eighteen back in early 1900 he had brothers and sisters there during wwII they had manage to escape and they never went back. They were afraid to admit they were germans because they were afraid for their lives because there were so many people in this country and other countries that had blame every german for what hitler did. not every german was Pro Hitler. they had carried guilt for what their own home had done to others even though they had help support the cause against Hitler.

Mrs. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one to feel that way about Ronald Reagen and the rest as far as I'm concern Elia Kazan did not deserve to be recognized. Did you also know that Frank Sinatra to star and produce in TheExecution Of PrivateSlovik So when John Wayne found out that Frank hired a blacklisted writer named Albert MaltzHe mounted press campaign against the film. so Frank never made it. I use to have a lot of respect mr. Wayne but it has dwindled since reading that.and also The other thread on this board you had posted. You made a very good point about people's rights

you data on ms Revere Was great. I liked her in National Velvet and The Thin Man goes Home.Like I said before It's pretty rotten when another fellow actor will turn on another so they will make themselves look good and especially nothing was proved. I think she deserves her star on the walk of fame like any one else.The one;'s that do not deserve it are their fellow turncoats.

I" am from The State Of New York I do also recall it being shown several times on different stations > I just wish it could be on TCM where nothing would be cut out. I'm lucky to have the DVD but people who never have seen it would be nice too see the movie without commercials.

I think that stinks because it will have scenes cut I;m so glad I have The DVD That needs to be shown on TCM where people who never seen it would be able to watch the whole film, not what NBC decides.

Mine would have to be.
Matthau and Lemmon I thought the chemistry between those two was phenomenal. Grumpier Old Men was so comical.
I truly miss not seeing them
My second of course would be The Marx Brothers.

You made a very good point that it could be A anti war film.I think the title pretty much says it all. the devasting effects it has on people of not having homes losing their loved ones fighting against other americans in your own country. Also considering the time it was made and when it was released especially what was going on in Europe.

I do not like Showboat either.Gone With I like but like you said some people like their steak rare. I know a lot of people that do not like GWTW. My son was smart he bought anniversary edition of it on DVD so I can watch it on the computer and not drive other people crazy because they rather watch something else.

Holiday I thought was Cary and Kate's greatest performances ever they had me crying I thought Lew Ayres did a great supporting role also.I think that movie underrated and Bringing Up Baby I thought the dog and the leopard stole the scenes but is was over rated.

I was just vocing my thoughts on those movies I was a victim of a violent crime when I was 20.I had seen those movies you had mention and yes I know Who John Gotti was and I 'm sure there is there some organized crime where I live. there crime all over I'm aware of that. I just do not think the godfather movies were great I know there had to be violence in that movie but to be consider top movies I just do not agree, But that is my own thoughts and I know other people will not agree with me.I'm just stating my own thoughts on it.

OhI would not consider it crap because there are movies that not worth watching.but i could never consider them crap because there is someone out there that actually likes something that I myself never cared for . I love Benji.
