  1. Well hindsight is often 20/20.
  2. Well in all honesty that's kind of how any movie ought to be watched!
  3. Wonder if Paramount did much to promote the movie during its original release?
  4. It got a bunch of nominations, aside from the acting ones, because the whole production was just amazing!
  5. Me too. I wonder why they never had an opening logo like all the other studios... MGM had the Lion, WB had its shield, Paramount its mountain, Columbia its lady and Fox its thing with the searchlight. RKO had its radio tower, of course. But UA? Never heard of a logo.
  6. I wish they could release it on DVD. Maybe as a double-set with Gaby? That would be sooo sweet!
  7. George Sanders is always fun to watch, as a good guy, or a bad guy!
  8. There was a whole list in "General Discussion" with all of the titles and collections WHV is going to be releasing this year and also some for 2008.
  9. Don't forget Waterloo Bridge!!! (The 1940 one)
  10. Oh yeah it would be nice to get Crawford sets from both WHV and Columbia!
  11. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/03/04/business/yourmoney/04cruise.html Meh. For a studio founded by Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks Sr. and D. W. Griffith, this really doesn't quite feel right. Now let's see what kind of movies the new UA will make...
  12. How did you arrive at those percentages? X From Outer Space ranks #301 on the list Goke, Bodysnatcher from Hell ranks #303, as of right now.
  13. I have the laserdisc set with the Crawford-Gable movies... wish those were all on DVD.
  14. Maybe the first set was kind of a trial balloon... and yeah, RO should definitely record some nice new intros!!!
  15. Uh... I haven't watched the TV shows in ages, I should check them out again!
  16. That was a good number! I also liked the one where she teaches French to Peter Lawford!
  17. Well, it's always possible that imdb.com might contain inaccurate information. The DVD of the movie sold by Sony UK is actually listed at 112 minutes But at any rate since we know with certainty that this shot was blacked out because Claudia didn't want to appear topless, then I don't think any discrepancy in the running time might have anything to do with nude shots or anything like that.
