  1. I'm glad they included Barbara Stanwyck this year however they left out Joan Crawford. Also left out were Clark Gable and Spencer Tracy and Greer Garson. It would have been nice if they included at least one of our superior character players such as Hattie McDaniel, Thomas Mitchell, Edna May Oliver, James Gleason etc. In any event you can be sure that I will enjoy the whole month of August Under the Stars.   6. Although I enjoyed many of the musicals and great books to the screen from MGM I will choose Warner Brothers. Moira helped to make up my mind with her fine analysis of both studios and the impressive listing of motion pictures from path. I recall when I was a kid I knew I was in for a treat when the movie began with the WB shield. Mongo

  12. I just had the pleasure of watching Arthur Kennedy in a different role as the kind son of Gertrude Lawrence and brother of Jane Wyman in "The Glass Menagerie". He was most certainly a versatile actor. Mongo
