    Co-stars of the macabre movie "Freaks" (1932) and leads in the movie "Chained for Life" (1951).

    Born in England to a barmaid and raised by the midwife that delivered them they were exploited and abused until they got their freedom at age 23. Appeared in a hit musical "Sideshow" on Broadway based loosly on their lives. They learned hypnosis from Houdini as a way to be alone from one another. Violet was married in 1936 and was later anulled. In the 1960s the ladies fell into poverty and obsurity. They were running a vegetable stand in North Carolina. In 1969 they were found dead in their apartment, victims of the Hong Kong flu.
