  1. I was thinking the same thing when Lansbury said she refused the role due to the evil character. I think she didn't want it because of the foul language and nudity

    in the film which of course "The Manchurian Candidate" didn't contain. I only wish that Larry King asked her that question.

  2. After watching Angela Lansbury in her Oscar nominated role in "The Manchurian Candidate" I believe she could have played the evil nurse in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" very well. It's just that she didn't want to play such a despicable character.

  4. I'll also be watching this versatile actress that just about has done it all. Also note that she is a very generous human being helping her fellow stars to get work on "Murder, She Wrote" and getting health insurance etc.

    This Wednesday she goes very plain as the Granny of the family in "The Blackwater Lightship" on CBS at 9:00 pm.

    A rare talent indeed.
