Speaking of Troy Donahue my niece was a big fan of his and she won a contest to have Thanksgiving dinner with him amongst other winners in New York City. Of course she still has pictures and momentos of that day in which she was on cloud nine.
TCM is having a tribute to Donna Reed today.

WOW ekbc33 you certainly had those clues camouflaged very well. I saw "I am a Fugitive From a Chain Gang" many times and didn't connect at all.
If only you threw me a bone like: WWI, shoe factory, Chicago, a diner, construction firm, Great Depression, a war medal, a pardon, St. Louis, etc.
I must say you play the game very well.

Classicsfan I too was surprised at the news of Ivan Jandl and his terrible plight when I did research on his birthday. In the movie he already looked frail and withdrawn only to face such circumstances in his young life. No doubt he deserved the special Oscar and the Golden Globe award as he was outstanding in "The Search".

Song from THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH
in Information, Please!
Posted
Did anyone ever notice that the music from the hit song "Mona Lisa" is also played in "The Man Who Knew To Much"? Considering the movie was a Paramount Picture they had the rights to play it since it won an Oscar as best song in the Paramount movie "Captain Carey U.S.A." with Alan Ladd.
Of course it was a big hit record by the great Nat King Cole.
