    He began his career in the 1930s in "She Done Him Wrong", "Blonde Venus", "I'm No Angel", "Suzy", "Topper", "The Awful Truth", "Bringing Up Baby", "Holiday", "Gunga Din", "Only Angel's Have Wings", "In Name Only", "His Girl Friday", "The Philadelphia Story", "Penny Serenade", "Suspicion", "Talk of the Town", "Mr. Lucky", "None But the Lonely Heart", "Arsenic and Old Lace", "Night and Day", "Notorious", "The Bishop's Wife", "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House", "I Was a Male War Bride", "People Will Talk", "Monkey Business", "To Catch a Thief", "An Affair to Remember", "Indiscreet", "North by Northwest", "Operation Petticoat", That Touch of Mink", "Charade", "walk Don't Run" his last.

    He was married 5 times of which three were Barbara Hutton (he was the only ex who didn't take alimony), actress Betsy Drake and to Dyan Cannon (1 daughter).

    The James Bond character was modeled with him in mind, a role that he turned down.

    He never said Judy, Judy, Judy. He was a big fan of Elvis Presley. He would often see his shows in Vegas.

    TCM is presenting an all day into night tribute to him today. Tune in for a royal treat.

    Appealing youngster in "Laddie" w/Tim Holt, "The Primrose Path" as Ginger Rogers sis Honeybell, "Meet Me in St. Louis" as Garland's sis Agnes, "Tomorrow, the World" coping with Nazi youth Skip Homeier, "The Bells of St. Mary's" Bergman's problem girl Patsy, "Feminine Touch" etc. Left the screen in 1957.

    Co-star/support Constance Moore is 84 today.

    On screen from the 1930s in "Prison Break" w/Glenda Farrell, "The Missing Guest" w/William Lundigan, "Buck Rogers w/Buster Crabbe, "You Can't Cheat an Honest Man" as Victoria Whipsnade, "Argentine Nights", w/The Andrews Sisters, "I Wanted Wings" she and Veronica Lake didn't get a long, "Take a Letter Darling" w/Roz Russell, "Show Business", "The 13th. Letter" w/Linda Darnell, her last.

    Did some TV work. Is married close to 64 years.

    Delightful comic actor and singer in "Up in Arms", "Wonder Man", "The Kid from Brooklyn", "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty", "A Song Is Born", "Inspector General", "On the Riviera", "Hans Christian Andersen", "Knock on Wood", "White Christmas", "The Court Jester" w/fabulous routine the vessel with the pestle, "Merry Andrew", "The Five Pennies", "On the Double", "The Man from the Diners Club"

    his last starring role.

    He was able to tongue twist faster than anyone else. He worked tirelessly for UNICEF.

    Lead/co-star Oliver Hardy ((65) 1892-1957.

    Rotund half of the funniest comedy teams of all time. He was in many Silent shorts. Along with Stan Laurel their full length films include: "Pardon Us", "Pack Up Your Troubles", "The Devil's Brother", "Sons of the Desert" one of their best, "Babes in Toyland", "The Bohemian Girl", "Our Relations", "Way Out West" another of their best, "Swiss Miss", "Block-Heads", "A Chump at Oxford", "Saps at Sea" etc.

    His nickname was Babe and he had a fine singing voice.

    Mr. Hardy was married 3 times.
