  1. feaito you hit the nail on the head! I was trying to be coy with the two questions about endearing Edmund Gwenn

and you finally caught me (both films dealt with counterfeiters also).

He is one of my favorite character actors and in "Mister 880" he shined like the top of a Christmas tree.

    Congratulations!

  2. classicsfan, Jane Wyman had a few "small" spots on TCM while commenting on a film and/or a star that she worked with.

When her daughter Maureen died I sent a card and she herself responed to it which was very nice.

Although she had many offers and big bucks to write a book about her life with Ronald Reagan she declined.

She is first class all the way and a mighty good actress.

A little gem I failed to list was "Miracle in the Rain" with Van Johnson in which she gave a touching performance

    (as usual).

The Films Of..., Screen World, Who's Who in Hollywood etc. etc.

The only thing is I will have to live eons in order to enjoy them all.

  5. Sandy the funny part is that I was looking at the name Abby when I typed in the name Libby. Go figure. Perhaps I was thinking of Ida Lupino's character in "Deep Valley". Yeah, sure.

  8. Just saw a commercial advertising TCMs "31 Days of Oscar" even though February has only 29 days this year.

TCM will run Oscar month from February 1st. through March 2nd. this year. Thats good new for me since I enjoy their Oscar presentations especially the mini spots featuring former winners and the Oscar winning or nominated shorts.
