What I don't understand is that it was popular to support Russia during World War 2 as they were our Allies. Most of the of the writers and actors who were dragged into the hearings were defending themselves for the support they gave to Russia during the War, not as when Winston Churchill said after the War ended an "Iron Curtain" dropped and started the "Cold War". It would be like today our support of Great Britain than ten years up the road they become our adversaries. Would they pull in every American who ever supported England? Aftermath
