  1. I couln`t agree more with you about TV Land.
  2. mrsl, I agree with you about Freaks. I`m just saying that TCM is ignoring alot of movies they shouldn`t be. Alot of 50s sci-fi and horror movies that I grew up watching on the tube are being deliberately made scarce because of the DVD sales market.
  3. mrsl, I don`t see how you could possibly know whether TCM viewers would like or dislike K. Gordon Murray`s mexican horror flicks given they have not been shown in syndication for the last 30 years. All of those movies are wonderfully lurid and atmospheric. Have YOU ever seen them? I would also respectively suggest to you that there is a vast world of difference between wonderfully lurid horror gems as opposed to 2 trash movies from the sixties shot by a nut-job with a boob fixation.
  4. It all begins and ends with DVD sales, doesn`t it? Well, I `ve been watching TV and movies for 40+ years and I don`t exist merely to subsidize the DVD sales market. Take, for instance, the very visually atmospheric Tod Browning horror classic "Mark of the Vampire". If TCM programmers like that sort of thing as many of us do then why on earth don`t they start running all of those wonderfully atmospheric over-the-top horror gems imported from mexico by K. Gordon Murray??????? Quite frankly, most of those mexican horror flicks make stuff like "Mark of the Vampire" and "Freaks" look sick by compar
  5. Now they can damn well do the same for K. Gordon Murray. Lets see some of those wonderfully atmospheric mexican vampire/horror flicks of his. C`mon TCM, lets go!
  6. and I say that your disregarding someone`s 40+ years of viewing says something too. I don`t wish to brag but between the very early sixties to the late seventies I watched many thousands of hours of television. sci-fi/horror movies, TV shows, you name it, I watched it. I don`t claim to have seen everything but in those years much, much more than the average person during that era of television. You don`t feel those few movies I mentioned are good? Then what were YOU weaned on? 70s, 80s and 90s manure?
  7. Hey tex, I`ll pit my 40+ years of television and movie viewing against anybody`s. That kind of experience well enables me to know the good from the crap.
  8. How about some of Christopher Lee`s Dracula movies? Show DRACULA HAS RISEN FROM THE GRAVE. That`s the most cinematically impressive of the lot.
  9. There are tons of sci-fi + horror movies that cable and independent stations have been ignoring for decades now....and I for one am sick of it! I do not exist to financially subsidize the DVD sales market. Ted Turner is a rich man so why should TCM care whether they weaken DVD sales? When is SOMEBODY FINALLY going to break out and show what we have been waiting for for so long. The forgotten classics: It`s halloween time. Why isn`t TCM showing the K. Gordon Murray mexican horror classics like THE BRAINIAC, THE BLOODY VAMPIRE, INVASION OF THE VAMPIRES, THE VAMPIRE`S COFFIN, THE LIVING HEAD, Ma
