  1. You guys can add me to the list of Lucy fans as well. I have seen every episode of "I Love Lucy" and the comedy hour. One of my favorite films that Lucy did is the 1947 film "LURED". It starred her (of course), George Sanders, Charles Coburn, Sir Cedric Harwicke and a special guest appearance by Boris Karloff. If you're interested in seeing Lucy in a good suspense film, get this one. She did a tremendous job. Most actors today aren't nearly as versatile.

  2. I went straight to page 20, so I don't know if anyone mentioned one of my favorite serials, "Return Of Chandu" with Bela Lugosi as Chandu. It is just an excellent serial with Bela as the GOOD guy for a change. He was so wasted in Hollywood in the later years....I could cry. He will always be one of my favorite actors.

Vincent Price is the other actor that I just love. I think all of his horrors were masterpieces (give or take a few) but the one that stands out in my mind as one of the best he ever did was "The Fall of the House of Usher". Absolutely incredible. Vinnie was such a cutie.

  3. I can't agree more about AMC. I used to be an avid watcher until they started to put the commercials in and then the newer movies. I don't know. I sent them an email regarding the commercials and it took them about 6 months to get back to me. Anyway, they had this lame excuse about the cost of showing the movies. If they're going to show more recent movies, they should change their name. To me, "classic" is at LEAST 30 years old. That's 8 years older than me--movies before my lifetime are classic. I guess we'll just have to stick with our TCM now.
