Three Amigos is another lemon that's just not funny. Another SNL movie BOMB is 1941 Eddie Murphy was funny in Coming To America. Some SNL movies good, most too long and bad Edited by: WhyaDuck on Jul 27, 2010 3:07 PM Edited by: WhyaDuck on Jul 27, 2010 3:12 PM Edited by: WhyaDuck on Jul 27, 2010 3:43 PM -

WHY THE HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS OF BOWERY BOYS?

Bowery Boys are funny, especially Leo Gorcey. You don't have to watch them, and I don't have to watch the sappy elite romance movies of the 1930s. I'll take Leo over hearing Hepburn say the lillies are in bloom again. It's plot was light, not heavy. A good movie to take a date to probably. TV viewers can't judge its Oscar worth in 1950's theatres. Edited by: WhyaDuck on Jul 13, 2010 4:28 PM

Thats my point. TV can't really show why it's an Oscar film.

Is there an unfilmed book you'd like to see as a movie?

Beneath The Wheel....Or 3 or 4 Bukowski short stories in one movie such as The Gut Wrenching Machine. Edited by: WhyaDuck on Jul 13, 2010 3:18 PM -
No because those films aren't Cinerama. Around The World In 80 Days is. The audience felt they were on an elephant or a train or in a balloon. People who question this films Oscar probably only saw it on TV. The whole film is designed to take the audience around the world in Cinerama. I'm sure there are other Cinerama movies. These are just 3 I know of I'ld like to see as filmed. The biography of Louis Armstrong. Ambassador Satch. -
Cinerama movies on TV lose the effect of being in the movie yourself. The movie that suffers the most on TV is Around The World In 80 Days. I wish I could see this, Mad Mad World and How The West Was Won in Cinerama. I do see the special effects the director was going for. The big curved screen would make you feel like you are there. It's not these movies fault that TV can't duplicate it. Bad Movie Thread: Unlikeable Protagonists
WhyaDuck replied to skimpole's topic in General Discussions
Basically, who did the producer and director try to make likeable, and character just wasn't. Popeye Doyle or McMurray were suppose to be of questionable character. I used Love Story couple for total movie hype and I didn't like them. Ray Milland tries, but he's no mind reader. His fault is he's over 30 Edited by: WhyaDuck on Jun 25, 2010 1:03 PM Edited by: WhyaDuck on Jun 25, 2010 1:07 PM Edited by: WhyaDuck on Jun 25, 2010 1:10 PM -
Bad Movie Thread: Unlikeable Protagonists

I thought the stars of Love Story were full of themselves. Not likeable. The dad not that bad, these yuppies not that great. Without sad death scene, there would be no movie here. They acted spoiled and full of themselves. A " Don't Trust Anybody over 30 " movie. I'm sure alot of World War II soldiers were looking at them more than Abott and Costello. They sing, they dance, they look cute. They have great songs in this, such as Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. I like their Christmas songs with Bing also. As for this movie, these gals are an Essential Classic Edited by: WhyaDuck on Jun 23, 2010 9:09 PM Edited by: WhyaDuck on Jun 23, 2010 9:11 PM Edited by: WhyaDuck on Jun 23, 2010 9:14 PM Edited by: WhyaDuck on Jun 23, 2010 9:20 PM

She deserves one. Couldn't they do it without her having to show up ??? -
Just when I think I've seen all movie, TCM showed these 2 lately that I've never seen. Keep them coming. I tire of the same movies, over and over. Both movies question right or wrong in war, and the endings leave the audience to decide. Is Segals William Holden type character hero or traitor ? You decide. Think movies, I like that. Just for fun, a worst movies ever week, with The Giant Claw as an Essential. I'm wondering what a weeks worth of classic duds list would look like. Not that we ever have to watch it. I LOL when I see The Giant Claw is called the Citizen Kane of bad movies. Edited by: WhyaDuck on May 25, 2010 6:44 PM Edited by: WhyaDuck on May 25, 2010 6:49 PM -

On Mr Sinatra, I'm amazed he could keep up with Gene Kellys dancing, and shows how hard he worked. The same could be said of Miss Garland keping up with Gene and Fred Edited by: WhyaDuck on May 25, 2010 6:32 PM
