Thanks for the address for Betty Hutton how did you ever find it?
I can't waite to write her and tell her how much I enjoyed her in Annie.
Wish there was some way we could get her for more interviews.

You may be right about that correction ...and I sort of agree but have you noticed the Broadway musical are still well done and they are writing great new songs and still hire talented singers...Remembering such musicals as Phatom, Annie etc. Also have you noticed MOTOWN's music has not gotten into the cartoons of Disney and the other newer annimation studios...They are still writing beautiful music for the cartoons (don't know how we are blessed that they are keeping this going...must be talent still running the show) Here's an EXAMPLE Anglia Landsbury's beautiful rendition of Beauty and the Beast" then 2 voices from MOTOWN produced their version and it wasn't bad...but not my taste...something for the BOOM BOX generation...Seems like they don't trust that we love good music so they quickly rush out to do the popular version before they even give light opera a chance!

What a treat to watch Annie get Your Gun' and that wonderful interview by Mr. Osborn with Betty Hutton.
I saw her in person in Houston with her band leader husband in the 70ies. You can imagine what a performance she gave. She was beautiful in a black lace dress as I remember. What memories I have of that night. It was a very exclusive private club that my uncle belonged too and I was in my early 20ies and loved Betty Hutton as I loved musicals. At that time in my life I had not seen many live performances and am so lucky that i got to see her.
What beautiful color and costumes in Annie get your gun...and I love the "satin and laces and smell of Colone line (can't remember the name of that song)...What great songs and song writers we have.
I did know that she had some trouble later in life but when i saw Osborn's interview...seems she did not do badly as she graduated from collage at that time...and that was some doing for a person her age.
Is she OK today?...Someone like that who has given us so much joy..it seems a shame that we do not have some kind of services for her...as i do know that the screen Actors Guild has some but maybe she did not belong...can anyone help and let me know if she is doing well...She could write a book perhaps and should get reisudle money from her films

So far I'm sticking with Betty's version...concerning the personalities on set of Annie get your gun!. Actors can be the worst with egos...and upstaging was within her caracter in Annie...Did Howard keel read the script?
Hey...she said she was plaged with prescription medication...and not giving her a pass for this but it must have been odd to be back in Tomahawk" with Howard who as he stated thought she upstaged everyone in Annie'. Broadway is a lot different than film, faster because the show is every night...film is getting it right and many takes to accomplish this...and if you don't know film (like Howard keel didn't).... look at what happen a few weeks ago on Grey's Anatomy"...The brodway actor got mad at the movie actor because he was late on set...These actors need to get over themselves!
Betty seems to be wrapped up in a religious philosophy that believes in truth and that was true for her!
