Bumping this thread with "extreme prejudice"!!!
It's interesting so many folks are looking for the name of the tune/artist as well. I'm so driven in finding out I've emailed TCM via their FAQ/Suggestions area; if I get a response I'll post it on all relevant threads as well.
I mean, it's not as if I can go down to my local pub and hum this tune to friends trying to find out. (Kinda' hard to do with piano/rim shots, no lyrics, etc. I'd try if I thought I could pull it off but I'm sure I come across as rather crazy...)

Update to my query below:
The "spot" during which this piano riff is playing is the "Star of the Month" promos (ie. this month it's Lucille Ball...)
Is this music/piano Count Basie, perhaps? I'm completely stumpted!

In one of the (newer) TCM promo spots, (those promo/commercial spots they run between movies), there's some very groovy piano music playing; it sounds very familiar, like late 50's/early 60's bebop-type stuff. It's at first a jazzy solo piano riff, then a bit of snare drum/high-hat comes in...
Anybody have any idea what this music is? It's extremely cool, and I'm busting me brain trying to figure out who it is! Any ideas?

e2a: And no, it's not that "Sunny Side of Life" bit; it's a newer jazzy-piano thing that's only been on for the last few weeks.

I knew it was a remix from the 50's...it was driving me crazy! (I negated Parker entirely because, well...there was no sax. Not that that should matter; he wrote it. Funny how our brains work with stuff like that.).
