Veronica Lake. What a beautiful and tragic figure. I only wish that somehow I would have been there to care for her after the world caved in on her.

Not really. Seems to me that it was a lightweight family drama/comedy. The only odd circumstance was that it was set in Iowa City, Iowa, where I had lived. How many of those are there?

Back in the mid-eighties, I caught a movie on either HBO or Cinemax and I have been trying to figure out the name of the movie ever since. It was a late 40's-early 50's B&W film that took place almost entirely in Iowa City. Anyone have a clue as to what movie I might be seeking?
