  1. I have thought long and hard about this, but I just want to say I have grown somewhat disappointed in TCM. Espcialy with seeing that they are starting to show more and more things from the 1990?s like the ?The Iron Giant? and the remake of ?Father of the Bride?. Also with how they have changed their music and intros between the movies has gotten rather modern and in my opinion takes away from the classic nature of the network. And yes granted the Dick Cavett show is a classic, but it?s a television classic, not a movie classic. If Ted Turner wants to show television classics why doesn?t he start his own network for television instead of putting them on a movie channel. Even though I am 38 I have always enjoyed the older films of the 30?s through the 60?s a great more than anything current or made in the last few decades. That is one reason why I?ve always enjoyed TCM but now it is starting to pretty much cater it seems to a younger generation over the older generation not to mention the film buff?s of classic films. At one time I really enjoyed the first classic film network, but then they started having commercials and showing a lot of current things to the point of where a lot of people that enjoy classic films refer to the C in their call letters as Crap. I hope that the C in TCM won?t wind up being referred to that as well, but I fear that if they keep up on the track that they appear to be on.
