  1. Wasn't Betty Hutton called "The Blonde Bombshell"? It was because of the loud and energetic way she presented a song.
  2. Thanks to you both for the info. Maybe I can find it soon. I read the book in the 80s which matches both replies to the movie date. I carried it to work and read it on breaks and every chance I got. Loved the book.
  3. These are the first ones that come to mind. They are in no particular order: Das Boot Stalag 17 The Great Escape To Hell and Back The Devils Brigade The Eagle Has Landed The Longest Day 30 Seconds Over Tokyo Where Eagles Dare The Dirty Dozen Sink the Bismark (I like the older ones best)
  4. Thank You! That was quick. Now I have to figure out how to get a made-for-TV movie.
  5. Years ago I read a facinating WWII fiction novel about a nazi who changed his identity to that of a Jewish POW at the close of the war. He was liberated, went to Israel, became a respected leader and eventually a high ranking Israeli army officer untill his past caught up with him. I caught the second half once on TV but the TV station didn't show the credits. I don't remember the name of the book either. After plastic surgery, the nazi was played by Ben Cross. I can't even remember the author of the book but it was great. I want the movie but have no idea of the title. Many Thanks RRosemary
