> Mongo ( & Bartlett )
I'm about an hour early for this post so don't get confused! It is for February 18th.
Remember add one year for each age as this is Mongo's original post of last year. ( 2006 ) The only update that I made was including that great actor Jack Palance in the "Posthumous" category, because sadly he died last year. I will always remember him in "Shane" & "Attack!", two of my favorite movies. Rest in Peace Mr. Palance.

I'll nominate 1962's, "Two Weeks in Another Town". Kirk Douglas portrays a recovering alcholic film director, who tries for a comeback in Rome. This movie also stars:
Edward G. Robinson
Cyd Charisse
Claire Trevor
George Hamilton
It is quite a good movie!
The other movie I was thinking about is 1966's "After the Fox" This comedy included:
Peter Sellers
Victor Mature
Britt Ekland
Martin Balsam

You must have been Happy that it took you only 12 Hours to do all this, instead of 12 and a half hours! LOL

Hey Mongo! What better woman to have "In the Spotlight" than one of Cagney's favorite tackle dummy, Mae Clark?
In 1931's "Public Enemy", he shoved a grapefruit in poor Mae's face!
In 1933's "Lady Killer" Cagney dragged her around by poor Mae's hair!
Like Jack Nicholson said in "A Few Good Men"
"I think Mae Clark deserves a "Spotlight", I'm sure she's earned it!"

Happiness is seeing your Bus on the horizon when it is windy, sleeting and hailing outside. Especially when the wind just blew your umbrella inside out and you can't fix it. This happened to me just the other day, and was I happy to board that Bus!
-
See you on the 24th! I bet that day of your marriage was the best Birthday you had. It must be a great memory and something you will always treasure! Watch for the post on the 24th, and besides I always say a woman who is a Board Member's age is 21+ when it comes to Birthdays!
-
Sorry to hear that! But on what day is your Birthday so I can keep this job that Mongo threatened to fire me, and post it on your "Special Day"?
Bartlett
-
Peggy being married on the 14th of February is the tops! Was it your Birthday also? If so I will go back to that day and include you in the honor role. Your not Mrs, CharlieT are you? (Just kidding) If it was not your Birthday on the 14th, tell me what day it is, so I could include you with all the other fishes of Pisces on that day!

Can I help it if I stutter Larry? I'm just keeping up with Mongo's tradition but in a larger scale. Instead of just typos....I repeat the whole damn Birthday thread. He has even threatened to fire me for it! What working conditions!
-
Can I help it I sometimes stutter Larry? I am just keeping up the tradition of Mongo, but in a grander fashion. I just don't typos, I repeat the whole damn Birthday List. Mongo has even threatened to "Fire" me!

"It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World" must be your Bible then. As your humor is similar and it must be your all time favorite pun filled movie and probably got you started with the pun fun.
-
Mongo, I just saw "Tootsie" recently and am now watching Robin Williams in "Mrs. Doubtfire". I know Jack Lemon and Tony Curtis were in drag for "Some Like It Hot". My question is this who was the first one in film history to act in drag and don't tell me it was Majorie Main. Seriously what major movie that earned plenty of Big Bucks was the first to have this occurance? ( Silents Included)
And Mr CineSage jr....."A pun is the lowest form of humor". It gives me the "Whims".
Bartlett
-
I also have a VHS copy of "Yankee Doodle Dandy. I think it is a joke! When Cagney sings "Harrigan" he is wearing a pink hat and a rose colored suit. I keep the tape to show friends how ridiculous it is to colorize movies. Other movies I have that are colorized are "Topper" ( Cary Grant) and "Way Out West" ( Laurel & Hardy). All are bad. I remember American Classic Movies had a promo that had King Kong on top of the Empire State Building, shooing away a crayon and the announcer saying, "We only show movies in their classic form". I'm glad colorization went the way of 3-D ( Although I thought that was better) because each gave me a headache!

Only testing to see if you got it Mongo...I was still too excited about CharlieT and his Triple Day of the 14th of February, sorry! I'll correct it now master!

I'd rather go out in a blaze of glory than just fade away. Like Ernest Borgnine said in "The Dirty Dozen " to Lee Marvin after Marvin witnessed a hanging, Marvin said to Bognine, "No one should die like that", Borgnine ( Who played a General) retorted, "Hell I know alot of people that should go the same way!" Also death is a reality, we can act like an ostrich, but according to the "Prophet" Jim Morrison "No one here gets out alive".

There have been a few movies concerning Death. Were born alone and surely will die alone. Would you like to know the year and time of your death. Also you would you like to know the method of your death? ( i.e. Violent, accident. murder, a vengeful relative etc.) We all must die as it is destined. How would you like to die? Long and Painful or maybe a massive heart attack that's quick but painful!
Would you like to have family members standing around your bedside and hear who gets the "China Set" or the Rolls Royce when he/she "kicks the Bucket". Or would you rather die in the streets among strangers. Hurry and decide because you never know as "Man Proposes and God Disposes." Remember no death ever ends up like "Hear comes Mr. Jordon" & "Heaven Can Wait". As Ray Charles said "When your dead your Done". And we really don't have a chance to amend our lives because death is quick. So those who act like a creep and do wrong against their fellow man, with deeds and accusations deserves what they get in the hear after. This includes a certain "Board Member", who is mean spirited, and obsessed with hate and revenge, and lead what they think is a just cause. This individual think's they are better than the majority of other Board Members. Believe me he is reading this, and we know who he is by his past posts and nasty attitudes, his favorite words are calling someone "A Troll". This slimeball is obsessed, and knows who he is. He is, the head "Witch Hunter from Salem Massachussets", accusing innocent people to be burnt at a stake with their family and cats & dogs because they also are witches by association. He is Senator "Tailgunner", Joe McCarthy accusing innocent people of being a "Communist in a Washingto D.C. hearings in the 1950's", if their veiwpoint is different than his or his "Followers". He is the "Hitler Youth" in the "Third Reich", reporting to the TCM Web Programmer to take them off the board, because their opinions are different than his, and he requests TCM to send them away like their mother and fathers to a concentration camp to be tortured and die. There are just a very small handful of Board members who follow this blight, that threaten to take away our identity because we don't conform to his veiwpoint. I don't fear these little people.........."I dread them". Also I dread the free hand that TCM has given him the green light to squash our rights of free speech. TCM "Serves the few & ignores the majority" even when we say something constructive and not offend anyone, a virtual "Police State". How wrong is that? (As John Lennon said which applys here: "So if you go on pictures of Chairman Mao, you ain't going to make it with anyone any how"). "Go peddle you fish somewhere else", I'm not buying.
You are hurting innocent people when you mention names but I am sure it is all a part of your plan. I didn't realize I was one, until I was directed by a few Board Member via "PM" to the "What a Surprise Thread". You are a "Pied Piper" of hate and I hope will guide your small handful of rat followers to the river, with you and your pack of lies and drown them all, including yourself. "Your Yesterdays Papers" and hopefully just tommorrows bad nightmare! This is my one and only time I will address you, I will not even acknowledge any reply or future post directed to me. Your method of provoking people is well documented. So do not think you can provoke me you punk. You are free to call anyone a Troll, but as for me you might as well pack up you tent, and go on to your next victim. Yor are a "Pathetic Liar!" There is more than just a cold wind blowing in Chicago. "Me thinks I smell something rotten in Chicago, blown by a hot foul stench". Go back and post your "Beautiful Pictures" on the other thread "Mr. Hyde". As for me "Sayonara"!

Your history of nastiness and calling innocent people Trolls speaks for itself. All you have to do is read your "What a Surprise" thread to validate how vicious and nasty you are. I may be a little gray in color for snow, but you are pitch black. Just ask Bradtexasranger ( Who you called a "Liar" & a "Troll" ), or any other of your other poor victims who is a snake! I bet the answer is not Bartlett, its "SNARFIE"!
Do me a favor if you make up another list leave my name off, because I never either responded to you or you to me before this "Incident". I really do not want to know a disagreeable "person" the likes of you!
