  1. I was only kidding, although all of their careers were based on drinking in one form or another. W.C. Fields of course was legendary for his drinking he once said that a woman drove him to drink and that it was the only good thing that happened during the affair. Of course Dino never appeared on stage without a glass of booze in his hand ( Although rumor says it really was apple juice) and Chaplin portrayed a drunk in a lot of his silent films.( Who can forget him tumbling down the stairs after being hit with the handle of the Grandfathers clock and then staggering back up the stairs.) Ironic maybe your public image of being a drinker makes you die on Christmas Day.

    You may be right! I know Hope & Crosby were in "Scared Stiff" a remake of Hopes 1940 movie The Ghost Breakers. Maybe they were in the men's room during " Three Ring Circus "instead of in the audience during the High Wire Performance.

    Oh! Did you know that 1984 was written in 1948 and the author just reversed the two last digits to come up with the title? ( I bet you did)
