Could never seem to be able to complete seeing "The Magnificent Ambersons". For some reason this movie has always bored me so much I fall asleep in the middle of it. I guess I found my cure for insomnia.
-
I kind of liked Mamie! The picture I remember her most in is 1958's "High School Confidential", not only because of Jerry Lee Lewis rocking song but her trying to seduce Russ Tamblyn while sharing an apartment and posing as his "Aunt". He refused her advances and we said he's nuts! I think Van Doren was a much better looking Mamie than Eisenhower, the wife of our 34th President. I think she deserves to be on the walk of fame more so than Donald Trump!
-
Two come to mind for me:
1. - Broderick Crawford as Governor Willie Stark in 1950's "All the King's Men".
2. - Gene Hackman as David Brice, Secretary of Defense in 1987's "No Way Out".

RTRiley this is the first post I had with you, You are part of the list that Snarfie made in his second riddle on "What a Surprise" thread . How do you feel being part of this list that appears on a thread dedicated to trolls. What we have in common as asked by Snarfie in his riddle, I believe is that we both think "Sneaky Snarfie" is a raving lunatic! Is that correct? If so Snarfie the riddle is solved and I gather bradtexasranger and KathleenT will also respond in that manner. Riddle Solved! Next riddle!!

Gee when I read your response on the "Happiness Thread" in "Hot Topics" in response to my post to Bobhopefan1940, that "You Are A Troll", I thought you were dissing your mother. My mistake, I should have realized you wouldn't be that vile and nasty,....... why your "Sneaky Snarfie"!

You are just plain nasty, but those are beautiful pictures of your family, you must be proud of them. It's a shame you were dropped so many times on your head as a baby though. Your pictures of your family you shared with us all is like comparing Ma & Pa Kettle to the Astor's & Rockefellers. I bet the picture of the parasite is you. I'm sure with these pictures Board Members will realize you have a brain of a maggot. Why don't you go make another list of those who should be commited and start with your name on top! This way you can say "Made it Ma .....Top of the List!!

I am posting the Happy Birthday thread a little early as I am still bewildered that I am being accused of being a "Troll" because my name was listed much to my surprise on the "What a Surprise" thread by Snarfie. I know how the victims of the McCarthy hearings feel now and believe me it is not a good feeling. All I can say to you good people is I have in all my 550+ posts gave no indication of being one, and I am baffled as to why I was singled out!
I don't know if I want to continue with this insanity and I would like some sort of constructive feedback from the average Board Member on what course of action I should take. I appreciate the time you will take to consider my dilemma, and ask yourself, "What if it was me that this was happening to?" ( It very well could the next time) . I'm sorry to use the Birthday Thread for this, but I have no alternative. I would appreciate if you "PM" ( Personal Message) me with your advice. This may just be my last post sadly, so whatever comments you provide will help me render my decision. Thank You Good People! P.S. Snarfie's followers need not respond.!

Happiness is coming back to a thread where people do not call innocent people "Trolls"...just like this one! A wonderful safe haven where happiness abounds! Thank you Bobhopefan 1940, I have always said you are the best. I never heard you say anything nasty; name call; accuse or join in a Salem Witch Hunt. You are what ever Board member should follow as an example of what this board should be all about. Plus I love the fact that your an animal lover, and so do my boys Merlin, Mojo & Napoleon. There is a Kipling saying "When everyone around loses their head and you keep yours, you are a man, ( But you are a wonderful woman ) Keep being yourself, it just might become contagious! Thank You, you dear sweet person!

This isn't a game I'm not defending myself anymore because there is no reason to make a witch hunt out of my being angry at my name on a list. Argue with yourselves I'll go back on The Happiness thread & The Happy Birthday thread. Life is too short to get involved with this nonsense! Bobhope Fan here I come!

> bradtexasranger was a troll, no question about it.
Look all I know is I never had any correspondences before with Snarfie since I first came on board. All of a sudden I'm on a list with three other people on a thread that is mainly about Trolls. I back tracked in Snarfie personal history profile and saw the type of negative postings he made to others. I know you have had your arguments with bradtexasranger starting with "Written On The Wind", so I can see why you think he is a troll. But why am I included on that list? Go back and read my 550+ postings! There are board members who do not think bradtexasranger is a troll. If memory serves me right Mrsl & filmlover have so stated in the past. There must be a reason why they think that way!

And Happy President's Day to all!....This year I'm celebrating our 19th President
who served in office from 1877 to 1881. Rutherford Birchard Hayes.
Born 1822 - Died 1893.
>
My second choice would have been our 13th President who served in office
from 1850 to 1853. Millard Fillmore. ( Tough choice right? )
> Mongo ( & Bartlett )
Remember to add one year to each age, as this is a rerun of Mongo's original post of last year. ( 2006 )
