I agree with you MissG. Lana looked ultra-beautiful in The Sea Chase with John Wayne. Claire Trevor is exceptional in film noir. I especially liked her in Crossroads and Born To Kill. I could listen to Claire talk all day with that sultry voice.

Linda is the greatest. A beauty, a nice lady, a great actress full of class and warmth. She's been my second all-time favorite for many years. I'm in love with Hedy slightly more. But Linda is close behind. The pictures you guys posted are AWESOME. I think i love her even more after looking at these pics. Kudos to Linda and you photo posters!!!
-
The absolute zenith of a beautiful woman and a true star. The first actress that made me want to dabble in watching classic movies. IMO, only Hedy and Linda D. are more stunning.
-
This woman is so gorgeous i can't believe it. Did she ever take a bad picture?? You guys have really outdone yourselves with the great photos you posted on Loretta: a total class act!!

This is one of my favorite classic movies ever for three reasons: the characters played by Ella Raines and Joan Blondell... and the story was riveting. Was Ella ever more beautiful??

Staffino, i saw Dallas on TCM in January, 2002. I don't remember Barbara being in it because i was staring at Ruth Roman. Barbara is one of my new crushes so i can't wait to watch Trapped since i bought the dvd. She looks like she's gonna be a bad girl in a lot of her movies. And that's fine with me.
-
I have not seen it yet, but any movie with Kathryn Grayson, Ann Miller, and Cyd Charisse can't be all that bad.
-
In real life, the character played by Ruth Roman would appeal to me most as she was very down-to-earth, sweet, and caring. All three actresses looked great and did a great job in a super film. However, in the actual movie, Marilyn Maxwell was my absolute favorite to watch, bar none. She was maniacally driven to achieve her selfish desires, no matter who she had to screw over. Marilyn's best role and i never tire of watching her in all her evil glory!!!

Favorite 'classic' BUSTY actress thread !

Lana Turner in They Won't Forget, walking down the street in tight sweater. Also, Joan Collins, Dolores Moran, Adele Jergens, Maria Montez, Virginia Mayo, Corinne Calvet, Anita Ekberg, ... Diana Dors had a great figure any which way you look. -
I really enjoyed Audrey in Tension and The Unsuspected. Betty was interesting in Kings Row, but then again, it was a great movie full of great actors. And Marie Windsor can do no wrong in my book be it noir or westerns. Windsor movies are always worth a try. I enjoyed Outpost In Morocco with Marie and George Raft.

A beautiful woman inside and out. Her death was heartbreaking, a waste of a good human being. I'm glad she and Robert reconnected and had a legendary love for each other. I've rarely heard a bad word spoken about her, which is rare. I thought about her on July 20th, her birthday. She woulda been sixty-nine. I'm sure whereever she is now, Natalie is making others happy as only she can.

Who Would You Like To See Robert Osborne Interview Next?

Listening to these folks talk about the old days would be like sweet music to my ears: Jane Russell, Olivia de Havilland, Joan Fontaine, Jennifer Jones, Jayne Meadows, Eleanor Parker, Patricia Medina, Patricia Morison, John Gavin, Farley Granger, Joan Collins, Rhonda Fleming, Arlene Dahl, Elaine Stewart, Cyd Charisse, Liz Scott, Jane Wyman, Mamie Van Doren, Anita Ekberg, Kathryn Grayson, Rita Gam, Carroll Baker, Dorothy Malone, Gina Lollobrigida, Kim Novak, Terry Moore, Tab Hunter, Anne Gwynne, June Vincent, Anita Page, and Robert Wagner. Too bad we just missed Yvonne DeCarlo. She would have been a hoot as she lived a very colorful life. I hope TCM catches some of these people before it's too late. -
who's your favorite character hero/heroin?

How about Edna Gladney in Blossoms In The Dust played excellently by Greer Garson?? Bette Davis as Charlotte Vale in Now, Voyager. Jennifer Jones as Madame Bovary and Ruby Gentry. Garbo as Camille, Susan Lenox, Mata Hari, and Queen Christina. Vivien Leigh as Anna Karenina. Gable as Rhett Butler. Gary Cooper as Howard Roark in The Fountainhead. Hedy Lamarr as Delilah in Samson And Delilah. Gregory Peck and Susan Hayward as David And Bathsheba. Diana Ross as Billie Holiday in Lady Sings The Blues. Leonardo DiCaprio as Howard Hughes in The Aviator. -
Jeanne Crain is sooooo beautiful. I really liked her in a movie I saw recently on the Fox Movie Channel: The Fan from 1949. The plot is about suspected adultery and how unsubstantiated gossip can wreak havoc on a marriage. Loved June Allyson in The Opposite Sex and she was quite interesting in The Shrike. The title of the movie the original poster asked about is Stranger In My Arms with Jeff Chandler.

If you had to do a love scene with a classic > actor/actress, who would it be? Hedy Lamarr...I could die a happier man... -
How about in Now, Voyager, when Paul Henreid's daughter asks him "do you really like me, daddy?" He hugs her and looks up to the top of the staircase where Bette Davis is standing and says (to Bette) "I loooove you"!! Also when Robert Taylor takes the divine Garbo in his arms in the final scene of Camille and tells her how happy they're going to be when she gets well and they can go back to the country... Monty Clift and Elizabeth Taylor when they sneak onto the balcony to profess their love and kiss in A Place In The Sun. When John Gavin calls Susan Hayward from the hospital to tell her he loves her in Back Street.

Just about anything with Hedy Lamarr, Linda Darnell, Lana Turner, Susan Hayward, Bette Davis, Rita Hayworth, Jane Russell, Ida Lupino, Ann Sheridan, Joan Crawford, Gene Tierney, or Alexis Smith in it... or most other glamour girls, really...
