It is on because it is part of the evening of programming called *"20th Anniversary of Milestone Films".* This article from TCM explains it. Here is the link -

There are quite a variety of movies on that evening. Some may have already been shown on other channels, such as IFC.

Renee, please respond to our inquiries in the Code of Conduct thread. Please let us know that you are still on board, literally and figuratively. Even if it's just to delete this thread. Admin, as far as I could tell, was on all of 20 minutes last night. Apparently you and your team have many duties, but I feel we have been abandoned in our communication regarding the updating of the Code of Conduct. I don't have time to sound polished this morning, I have to go to work. But please let us hear from you.

Is this it? I was under the impression that we had some sort of dialogue going on here.
I can't be the only one who has concerns about the current Code of Conduct. I don't have the time this morning to cut and paste the part that concerns me. In a nutshell, it prohibits using false information when registering on this site.

This caught my eye because of the cast. I had not read the film's description - just knew it was true crime night. I had never heard of *10 Rillington Place* or the main character (I find it hard to even write his name).
What a creepy movie - the house was so bleak and dark and depressing. It reminded me of some PBS *Mystery* shows that I have seen and I recognized many actors from those and *Masterpiece Theatre*. I recognized the first victim as the neighbor on *Keeping Up Appearances* and the creep's wife from somewhere.
I can't imagine sitting in a movie theater and watching this. But, people do it all the time now with the slasher type movies. Except that this was real, and slow - happening over a few years, and of course, us wondering how did this happen and no one know.
And this kind of stuff still happens, what with stalkers and people trusting those that deceive them into trusting them.
John Hurt, Judy Geeson and Richard Attenborough were outstanding. I have a question, though.
Did Attenborough actually shave his head or just cover up his hair?

John Derek was what I would call a pretty boy. He seemed to span the decades, reappearing as a photographer/director//filmmaker in the 1970s and 1980s, after marrying various beautiful women.

SansFin - I'm not clear on what will happen in August after 38 years!
However, thank you for explaining your user name. Now I know what it means - I may be showing my ignorance, but I thought it had something to do with Jacques Cousteau. (only joking, but I did not realize that it meant "without finish"). Some of us are not very worldly, I guess. (wink)
If you change your name, just let us know. The problem with posters using multiple names or changing them is that usually deception is involved in the action. I like to know that the poster I am communicating with is a real person. I don't need to know their life story, just feel that sincerity is there to make the communication worthwhile.

I just noticed an interesting thing while having *In Cold Blood* on in the background. Robert Blake is asking his partner if he remembered Bogie in *The Treasure of the Sierra Madre*, and then talked about going to Mexico to find gold.
It struck me because Robert Blake was the little kid in *Treasure* that sold Fred C. Dobbs the winning lottery ticket. I just never noticed it before.

butterscotch - So nice to meet up with you here. A young member of my family is graduating from high school next week and will be going to college in August. He is so done with high school, and will be ready to start a new life chapter (after summer, of course!).

I was watching an old movie the other night, and one person asked the other if they wanted a drink, and the response was "I will try a heater". I had never heard that term for cigarettes before. "Heaters" were very popular, thanks to ads like these.

Have there been staff changes?
