  1. Hi all,

Not sure where this kind of post belongs so I'll just post in general discussions and hope it's the right place :P

Back in 2007 I came across a 90 year old Gary Cooper scrapbook. It was started back in 1927, the beginning of Gary's career, and it contains authentic letters written to/from Paramount, pictures, newspaper clippings, ads, movies stubs, etc. The woman who made this scrapbook collected all of this over a span of 34 years; the book ends in 1961, the year of his death.

A lot of dedication, love and detail went into this book and I'm really not sure what to do with it. It's in pretty good condition for being 90 years old; I feel like it's worth some money and should probably be in a museum somewhere but I'm not sure who to take it to to get it appraised. Anyone have any ideas?

  2. Hey April!

I'm so glad you created this thread. :)

I LOVE Classic TV Shows; I have so many favorites but I'm gonna have to say *I Love Lucy* is my all time favorite. No matter how crappy my day is, if I just pop in an episode of *I Love Lucy*, it makes me feel 100% better. They're especially best to watch when laying in bed sick or something, lol. I don't know why, but it just makes me so happy :)

Oh! There's another one, too, but I don't know if it's very well known. It's called *Life with Elizabeth.*

It stars Bette White. It's so funny! I was wondering if anyone else was familiar with it...

    Mona Risa! :D

    How are you, twinkletoes?

    Do I really look that mean? :D :D :D

No, not at all. The hue of red in your eyes compliments the color of your medusa-style hair! And the smoke steaming from your ears gives off an absolutely angelic effect! :D

Only teasing. I love yew :)

  4. *Hiya, Mrs. Cooper* *-- Is this really you?! It can't be!*

Grabs hold of the lapel on her jacket and attempts her best Jimmy Durante impression: IIIIIIn poi-sin! :)

*Oh, no! I must run to the Coop bomb shelter! Sanctuary!*

...You're a turkey, Frank. You know that? :P
That thread was pure awesomeness to its core; you're just jealous ;)

*Wait a minute! I knew it! Butterscotch offed the real Mrs. Cooper!*

No, she just happens to have acceptional taste when it comes to...well, everything! You should know that Frankie! Hehehe :)

Wow, I remember this thread when it was just a baby! It's a whopping 142 pages of Frank Grimes Tortureness.

    That's. Awesome.

Where'd the Coop group go? It's been forever since I've wandered around through these TCM halls so I kinda have to get used to it all over again. :P

By the way, GREER IS THE BEST! COOP, COOP, COOP! ...What other actors can I torture you with chanting the names of?

  7. How do you have time for them all!

I'm an extreme multitasker. I can talk on the phone with Jason while I'm preparing dinner for Mel, then I have an appointment with Gary at the local movie theater, but I have to be real careful about that one because as I'm sitting left of Gary, I'll have Christian sitting on my right. :P

    You have more?!

    Oh, of course! ;)

That's an interesting mix of men you've got going on.

    So I've heard.

I can't help it -- I always seem to fall for the older guys. I think Christian Bale is actually the youngest of my celebrity crushes.

Okay, okay, pick a character of those actors that you have a crush one. Who's at the top?

Mel Gibson, probably. But I have yet to barrel through my Christian Bale, Jason Statham marathon on Netflix, so get back to me on that one a little later :D

By the way, I also like Christian Bale.

Surprising. I was almost sure I was gonna get teased mercilessly for this English heartthrob...

  8. What Christian did in The Machinist was insanity!

My first film of his was *Equilibrium.* I LOVED that movie. Then I saw *Machinist* and I was terrified -- especially when I saw the side-view of his stomach (or the lack thereof). He lost a ton of weight simply by not eating. Then when the director asked him for *Batman* he powered up to over 200 lbs, but actually overshot his goal and lost the remainder.

He's still incredibly handsome -- I just adore his accent in *The Prestige*. And I know I'm strange for saying this, but his teeth and lips are incredibly sexy.

  9. Haaaah! This thread is awesome! Thank you, Scott, for bringing it to my attention ;)

    Okay, my current crushes:

    Mel Gibson:

    Max Rockatansky

    Gary Cooper:

    Peter Strauss:

    Jason Statham:

    Christian Bale:

I do, of course, have more, but I'll have to post them another time :(
