Theresa, thank you SO much for getting me hooked on Greer and Walter; though I must say it's so strange to feel the words "no" escape through my lips when I turn on a movie and my parents take a deep sigh and go, "Is this another Gary movie?" I'm starting to watch Gary's movies all from the beginning again (some over 7 times over already) but I started with Barabara Worth, then had to end with Doomsday. But once I get time again, in the holidays to come, I'm gonna barrel through them like nobody's business!

Angie, between all our writing and posting pictures...I don't think I could manage the strength to even itch my nose! My fingers are as flimsy as Paris Hiltons morals, but it's been such a long time since I've actually logged into TCM to say something worthwhile -- I'm now here to contribute (and hope we reach 5,000 by the end of October): I'm gonna tape The Fountainhead tonight. As some of you know, it's actually one of the Cooper films that interests me the most. Frank, once you told me you had a fascination with Noir films; I figured this would be a movie you'd take deep interest in. I'm glad you finally have a Gary film to add to your collection; it's exciting to know more and more people are coming across his films and becoming intregued. As for building up my own collection of Noir films, I've gotten an extensive supply from amazon. I hope to be able to sit down and watch them all one of these days, but when I get on a gabbing trip about how intense or mind-boggling I thought it was -- I hope I can count on you to give me your thoughts as well. I'm absolutely obsessed and I need some supporters who won't think I'm completely wacky, lol.

I'm glad you liked the video! Hey I was perusing ebay this morning (a very dangerous thing for me b/c I have no willpower - ha!) and I found an ad for spark plugs with a pic of Slim Talbot and OH MY GOSH, the resemblance between him and Gary is uncanny!!!!!!!! He looks more like he could be Gary's brother than his own brother did. YIKES! I saw that a long time ago and I showed it to my mom and she thought I was trying to trick her; I was like, "mom this is NOT Gary!!" She walked away and still, to this day, doesn't believe me, lol.

I had to leave for my sisters the night before it was playing; but I set my timer so hopefull it worked and no one messed with it. I really wanted to see "Alias Jesse James" and now I have! Yippee! So I guess it wouldn't be too terrible if it didn't tape...but then there's always that feeling, "I have all his movies available to the public...except 1." You aren't tipsy; I loved it, too. Although I was a little leary in the beginning when she made it "opposite" but it was actually amazingly well done and I agree that she should get some recognition for her hard work

I have a question, since they "updated" the forum I can't seem to get the underline, bold and italicize options to work for me anymore. When I highlight a word and click on the B, I or U button nothing happens....I notice that it is working for you ladies, has something changed? My obsession is to find as many photos and rarities as possible on Gary, but the strange thing is that there's a limited supply over the internet! I never thought I'd say that but golly...there is! I Think Gary Cooper is a great actor i just love him in Mr Deeds goes to town and in The lady and the cowboy i think he should be reganized more becuse he's just as good of an actor as Gable and Grant maybe even better and he has a very pleasent vocie that just draws u in to any thing he does and he's very handsome on top of all that. Amen, RentHead! Mr. Deeds is my favorite as well; and Cowboy in the Lady is just so cotton-pickin' adorable! I know we all agree that he should be recognized more than he is, and that's what we're trying to do here. lol, 4,000 posts later and we're still trying. But it seems to be working because a few people have wandered in here inquiring about Gary so this is definately the place to be if you're a Gary fan at all or just wondering about his shoe size. I absolutely love his voice, as you mentioned, and yes...he is very handsome!
